OT: Friday Night Drinking Thread

I know it's a bit early to start, but being the 1st week back to work following the Holidays it's needed! Time to crack into the Two Hearted Ale that made the long trek back to Texas!

we're in LA with the team, a bunch of our buddies are playing and those of us not on the team go out to this place in westwood that i think is called 'the fox'.  the guy who owned it sits at the piano and plays these hysterical bar songs, sing-alongs-with the crowd, etc, and punctuates it with drinking beers, even upside down (not kidding) faster than you could literally throw it on the ground.  

i'm sure he had to throw some of that up so that he could keep playing, but man, it was all-world drinking ability. 

my guess is that one of the LA types on the blog knows what i'm talking about.  maybe a video of it.

I found an Oberon lingering in the bottom of the beer fridge.  Is it poor form to drink one after Labor Day (kind of like wearing white)?  If so, then I just slapped that standard of decorum pretty hard in the ass.  Tasted good, too, even when it's single digits outside.

our office does the holiday party thing in January (something about budgets and better turnout), and since I'm one of the handful of beer drinkers and the longest tenured, I get to take home whatever's left over as my Xmas bonus. a small but cool gesture.

A to Z pinot, 2011. a very good value, a very good year in Oregon. On to a Willamette Valley Founders Reserve next, same year, quadruple the price.
