Yeah, I actually thought this was a unique example of Caldwell using (or not using) his timeouts appropriately. Worked out well

There were 30 seconds left and the Lions were on the 5 yard line. They weren't going to run it at all and they had 3 time outs left. There was absolutely no need to call a timeout. Not too suprising from this announcer though. He can't keep the players from each team straight. Called Stafford Barkley about 3 times on the same drive.

7 TD's for Boldin this year. Been an incredible safety valve for Stafford on third downs and in the red zone. Basically, he's doing what Ebron should be doing.

Ebron is actually having a really good year.

The problem is that he is their only TE worth a damn. That means he can be doubled in the redzone. Lions need another receiving threat at TE who can present a sizable target in the RZ.

I've had ebron on my fantasy team. He's having a good year in the sense that he's occupying defenses and opening up others in the red zone. He's still had a ton of drops

Boldin was a great signing by Quinn. So many huge catches to move the chains or find the end zone. What a great security blanket for Stafford.

I also can't believe the Lions D has survived this year with 0 sacks from Ansah. The nagging injuries are killing him, but we've somehow managed without his production.

He's also put no effort into blocking. That Golden Tate sweep would'be been a positive play if Ebron hadn't ran past the DE and turned around to watch Tate get tackled behind the line.

Everyone asks why the ratings are down in the NFL. They blame it on short weeks (thursday night football), bad matchups, the election, quality of play being down, or national anthem protests. With no mention of the insane amount of commercials. It is tough to watch an NFL game the Lions aren't playing in with all the stoppages. And that is coming from a football junkie.

Yep. I don't watch games unless the Lions are involved or it's the playoffs. And I've only watched the Super Bowl in bits and pieces because the commercialism is unbearable for me

Yeah it's bad. It's not so bad if you have the package or Red Zone and can flip to another game, but if you're a single team fan or just watching your local broadcast, it's brutal.

I'd like to see them keep building the OL. Ebron has been less than stellar but not willing to give up on him yet. Plus Pettigrew has been hurt (also not stellar though). If Levy is legit back, and when Abdullah comes back, I think they're looking solid at nearly all positions which is nuts to think about. They might need to replace Boldin so I'm expecting a WR pick relatively early.
