In my experience, cases do not always show up on Pacer immediately after they are filed. I have had some cases where the case does not show up for a couple of business days after filing a complaint. Think it can depend on the clerk.

You cannot go under screens on Winston. I have watched many MSU games this season. Although Winston did not hit any 3s in our first matchup, if you give him a foot of space he will hit 3s and that is worse than a layup. All they need to do is have better rotations than they did in the previous game. Going under screens would definitely not be the answer.

FWIW, I was at the game sitting behind the bench and he warmed up at what seeemed like full go and was dressed. Hopefully more of a precautionary thing.

I don't have an answer to your question about why Beilein is so good at developing point guards, but I can try to answer about DeJulius after following basketball recruiting quite a bit.

DeJulius is not the same kind of player as Z. I would say he is closer to D Walt than Z. He is a guy that is very talented offensively and can shoot from anywhere. This is why many fans thought we might be seeing more of him with Z's lack of shooting prowess. I think DeJulius is very competitive like Z, but I think it is hard to find someone quite as fiery as Z. What Z lacks in offensive polish, he makes up for in speed and defense. DeJulius has that polish on offense.

All in all, I do not think the team will look the same when/if DeJulius takes the reins in the next few years. Will they revert back to a team with an amazing offense and a subpar defense, I doubt it. Z, Matthews and Yaklich seemed to have changed the identity of the program, but you will be hard pressed to replace the quality of defenders that they are. I imagine in the next few years the offense will get better with the insertion of a sharpshooting point guard back into the lineup and the defensive efficiency may drop down a little.

I definitely agree with your whole comment. Bama is definitely more like Real, but no college sports rivalry can match the meaning of the rivalry between Barcelona and Real. I tried to think of one that would fit, but it just doesn't fit.

And it's not just Barcelona and Real Madrid, but all of the clubs in Spain that are tied to independence movements in their respective regions. There just has not been anything nearly as significant in the US.

The punting was actually what impressed me the most. I was more upset than most last year about the crappy punting. Shanks, not doing well at directional punting and keeping it out of the end zone plagued the team last year. Or defense is good, but when they are having to start a drive in their own half it’s tough.

Last night, most of Hart’s punts were not deep in our own zone and he showed that he has the potential to kick it within the 10 yard line. In his one opportunity to punt it deep he boomed it, high and long. I think this ability will help a ton later in the season when the defense is more settled in and are to their usual ways of stopping offenses.

It didn’t really matter to the outcome of the game I don’t think, but it was definitely expired. I was at the game and watched the play clock. The ball was not snapped until .5-1 second after the clock hit zero. Harbaugh complained to the refs after to no avail.

Oh I'm not sure. I read it as he committed, but I could definitely be wrong. This post can be taken down if it was premature.

I could see Charles Matthews picking up some slack at the point guard position next year if neither Brooks nor Simpson appears set to take over the reigns next year. I went to the students only practice this year and I would say he is probably the most talented guard type we have on the team. I could see him playing a Manny Harris/Darius Morris type role where he takes over the offense as a taller point guard. Then again, Rahk can handle some point guard duties too if Beilein would rather have Matthews as a 2 and the younger point guards aren't playing well.

There were 30 seconds left and the Lions were on the 5 yard line. They weren't going to run it at all and they had 3 time outs left. There was absolutely no need to call a timeout. Not too suprising from this announcer though. He can't keep the players from each team straight. Called Stafford Barkley about 3 times on the same drive.

The Big Ten does have some pretty good offensive big men this year. Two that come off the top of my head are Thomas Bryant of Indiana and Ethan Happ of Wisconsin. I haven't followed the middling Big Ten teams as much, but I do think Moe is up there with those guys. They are both more proven, as they were both in the running for Big Ten Freshman of the Year last year, but Moe's outside shooting seems a lot nicer than the two of them. It will be very interesting to see where this season takes him. I think he has the potential to be an elite player if he could work out the mental mistakes.

Definitely impressive. But I would also be very impressed if a sprinter could be the top in the world at the 200m sprint and 400m sprint as well as 200m hurdles and 400m hurdles. That's obviously not a 1 to 1 comparison with the various swimming strokes, but you get the point.

In fact, I'm not even sure I would call Ledecky the best female swimmer at these olympics. Katinka Hosszu will end these olympics with most likely one more gold than Ledecky and she got gold in the 200 IM and 400 IM which show that she's not just great at one stroke.

Agree about MSU, but Iowa still might be top 15 when we play them just because of their schedule. Only difficult games before they play us are home against Wisconsin and at Penn State.

I'm a big Comedy Bang Bang fan too. I think it takes a little while to really get into as well just because there are so many inside jokes and recurring characters. I look forward to listening to it every week and am going to the show at the Royal Oak Music Theater in May.

A lot of midterms this week as well, so the student numbers will probably be down quite a bit as well.

I understand trying new things, but don't try them out in a rivalry game in February. That was a big game for a lot of us watching and it just totally ruined the viewing experience.
