OT: 49ers trying to erase all things Harbaugh?
Found this interesting piece of news just a bit ago. I didn't see it posted yet so here you go. Apparently Jim's trademark khakis are gone and a plaque is covered.

I thought those guys were stupid but this is a new kind of dumb. Best seasons they had in years under Harbaugh and they want to forget it? You can't try this hard at being stupid...it must be engrained.
what's next? oh yeah, winning.
I love the San Fransisco 49ers. They gave us Jim Harbaugh. What is not to love?
Who would win?
Ditka
I'm sorry, what were we talking about?
Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus, making it only look like we had a space alien for an AD.
Could use this in my personal life right now.
FUKITOL is a suppository.
I seem to have forgotten...
Well if you used it in the direction the .gif is pointing to then yes, you wouldn't remember if you've posted this before. :)
Niners museum has literally covered up the Harbaugh era. This was once a Harbaugh plaque. pic.twitter.com/kLcK5Pxt2H

Would you trust this guy?
To be fair, that also appears to be the plaque that sits in front of what is now a Frank Gore mannequin. Doesn't make much sense to have a plaque about Harbaugh in front of a display for someone else, now does it? They could have at least put up a sign indicating that it's temporary until the Frank Gore plaque is up.
It sounds like they got rid of everything.
@BASportsGuy @JesseTaylor74 3 days after they "parted ways" the museum had no sign of him. Even the guide awkwardly admitted it to us
— Ron Pratte (@ronpratte) March 2, 2015
hire Winston Smith to rewrite 49er history, to turn Harbaugh into an unperson?
And if that guide who "awkwardly admitted" to Pratte there there was no longer any sign of Harbaugh in the museum suddenly disappears, it was probably due to his own carelessness in committing thoughtcrimes within sight and sound of the nearest telescreen. York's Thought Police are probably at this very moment dealing with that poor guy, who's likely never to be seen again.
...obviously means they can't afford another mannequin to dress. Life's rough for NFL management.
The 49ers have done some really stupid things, but this is a reach. It's a small museum, harbaugh is no longer the coach, and they have tons of items that are more relevant to their current team than a pair of khakis.
If there was a Michigan museum in 1989 and they replaced a statue of Bill Frieder with Rumeal Robinson's national championship game uniform, would that be petty too?
I want Hoke's coach of the year trophy to remain at Schembechler Hall. Just because someone was fired, doesn't mean they should erase the history.
A few things.
First, museum's are constantly changing the displays to keep it worth visiting. How long would they have to wait before it was appropriate in your opinion to swap out the Harbaugh outfit for, say, a Ronnie Lott display, or Bill Walsh's clothing?
Second, an museum exhibit displaying a coach's clothing is not exactly akin to a trophy in a dedicated trophy case. I'm sure the 49ers trophy case, assuming there is such a thing, still has a replica of his 2011-12 NFL Coach of the Year trophy in it.
Third, it will be interesting to see what UM does with that trophy case. The picture you linked to shows Hoke as coach from 2011-Present. Do they simply revise the language to read 2011-2015, or do they take Hoke's plaque down and replace it with Harbaugh? Notice there is no plaque for Rodriguez.
It's a small case so they'll probably revise it to add Harbaugh. Rodriguez does not have a plaque because he didn't win anything, but his name is on the list of coaches.
OK, but this was 3 days after Harbaugh was gone. They didn't have to make way for a new Super Bowl trophy in that time.
The uhhh...plaque for the alternates is down in the ladies room.
They're certainly trying hard to erase Harbaugh's tradition of winning.

Jim Harbaugh is only one of three coaches to take the team to the Super Bowl. Good luck to the 49'ers and thanks again.
They'll be fine. They have Jim Tomsula now.
"I think Jim would be the first to tell you if someone were to make room for Frank, he'd want it to be him," said Lange, who also points out that numerous vestiges of Harbaugh still linger about the museum. He said the khakis could even make their way back into the rotation some day. ("Only 10 percent of our 2,000 pieces can be on display at any one time," Lange said.)
"Vestiges of Harbaugh"...it would be amusing to wander about the museum and discover precisely what that means when it comes to displayed items. It could be anything from a tie clip once worn by Harbaugh to a display of things left in his desk drawer in Santa Clara, if the competency of 49ers management is any indication.
would hate him if he had won the Super Bowl.
Kinda sad in a way. Was Harbaugh really that debilitating to their organization they have to erase him from their history?
At least you upgraded, right? /s
Wow....fitting you picked a gif of their new HC doing nothing but clapping....it's almost like we've traded coaches. I don't see many wins in their future.
That gif is out of synch, and it's killing my brain, and I think that's on purpose
49ers will be fine...

Forget about Harbaugh, San Francisco - it'll make the losing more acceptable.
They're my favorite NFL team! Thanks again for giving us Harbaugh you morons!
I can't wait til they go 6-10 and Jed York blames Tomsula lololol
Very hip reference

Shoot. I guess my potential comment that maybe the guys from WLA found gainful employment is probably also not timely.
Reminds me of that Family Guy episode where Brian and Stewie visit Germany and Brian asks the tour guide why there's nothing in his pamphlet about German history between 1939-1945, and the tour guide refuses to acknowledge the truth.

I'm curious about how the team chemistry will be in SF next season.
young owner is part of the 49er problem. I would guess that their season next year wont be a good one.
Can someone make a thread for me? It looks like MacGarrett Kings for MSU received a drunk and disorderly while he was on probation, and will almost certainly be kicked off the team. He was going to be a big time player for them next year at WR.
Great news!

Kicked off the team? They'll just have the limo pick him up from jail and take him right to practice. That's the way mork operates

He's already on probation for getting a "Super Drunk" DUI about 9 months ago. And this one was another alcohol violation where he potentially assaulted a police officer. He's probably going to jail for like 6 months, so there's no way he can remain on the team.
Can you make a thread?
Dude, calm your shit.
I'm sure it will make it's way to the board in due time. Yes, Kings is a solid WR for them but I doubt he makes as serious of a dent in their season as you're alluding to.
