Going by the way Penn State is choking Brutus so far, I'd say that when we beat tUoOS ourselves in two weeks, we'll end the regular season with only one fewer win than they have.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:47 PM ^
I hate to say it but, i hope OSU comes back and wins. I want us to be the ones to ruin their season and make them lose the Big10 tittle in the last game of the season.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:52 PM ^
no
never hope OSU wins
ever
November 13th, 2010 at 4:57 PM ^
only root for OSU when they're playing an SEC team... and even then...
November 13th, 2010 at 5:09 PM ^
Personally, I've never rooted for OSU, even if they're playing the SEC. Apathy with a vague recognition that a win by them does the conference good is all I can muster.

Remember 2006 when we were both undefeated? When we both win it only makes it better for the rivalry. In 2006 they were publicizing the Michigan/OSU matchup for several weeks in advance. The more wins we both have going into that game, the higher profile the game will be, which in turn only helps in things like recruiting. I want OSU to win every game besides us, that way it makes it that much sweeter when we beat them in a game that is on the national scene.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:02 PM ^
agreed. also, lol @ tittle
November 13th, 2010 at 5:09 PM ^
lol @ tittle.
November 13th, 2010 at 6:02 PM ^
Can't agree. It's much more impressive when Michigan beats an undefeated OSU team.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:09 PM ^
both teams. Final score-
Ohio St.- sucks
PSU- sucks
November 13th, 2010 at 4:37 PM ^
Yeah 8-4 is better than 7-5. However, I think a win out of the remaining two games would mean more than just one more in the win and one less in the loss columns.
Beating a legitimatly good team like WI or OSU would show improvement over the course of the season which would get me super exicited. The defense looked good today, but being able to slow down WI or OSU would put a smile on my face.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:38 PM ^
If we only get one more win. I would rather get smoked 83-20 by wisconson and destroy tUOS, rather than beating wisconsin and lose to tUOS.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:41 PM ^
I think we all feel that way. Hopefully the players can get their heads on straight for the WI game. As a fan, I don't feel like its a crucial game because I fully expect WI to win and I am much more worried about the OSU game. I almost feel like we have nothing to lose in the WI game. Hopefully, the players are more focused than I am.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:53 PM ^
Agreed, We won't beat Wisconsin, unless 2008 repeats itself. If we lose to Wisconsin, it is just another loss and one week of "Fire RR" or "Fire Greg Robinson". If we lose to to tUOS, it is the al that for a whole year AND tUOS fans talking shit.
November 13th, 2010 at 6:07 PM ^
We won't beat Wisconsin, unless 2008 repeats itself
Why make this assumption? We won't be favored or anything, but given that we're a bowl-bound team, why act like this game is completely out of our reach?
November 13th, 2010 at 4:41 PM ^
Another win gets us in the Gator or Outback Bowl which is much better than playing at 10PM in the Insight Bowl.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:43 PM ^
Dude, what's the big deal about a 10PM start? This is the second thread you've said that on.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:45 PM ^
I agree - I actually kind of like it - full football concentration after everyone else goes to bed.
November 13th, 2010 at 6:26 PM ^
I can hear Dora and Boots singing about how they, in fact, "did it." My wife turned off the carpet cleaner about 8 minutes ago.
Yeah, we all would prefer 11 am/1 pm on Jan 1, but a 10 pm kick sounds a little enchanting right now.
November 13th, 2010 at 7:20 PM ^
Another year older, and you'll be able to watch Penguins of Madagascar-pretty damn funny.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:55 PM ^
Actually i was wrong, the game starts at 6PM EST on a Tuesday.
Gator Bowl is on New Years day at 1:30 but its on ESPN2 instead of being on CBS. Basically this would give us the best exposure and help with recruiting in Florida. The only bad thing, we might end up playing Arkansas and that would suck for our secondary.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:41 PM ^
one more win would be OUTSTANDING, TREMENDOUS.
8 wins, from 3 then 5
4 B10 wins from 2 then 1
reasonably, we will have beaten a quality team presumably with decent D and offense and ST.
probably not gonna happen, but it would mean a lot more than just one more win.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:45 PM ^
The way this season could have gone, even without another win, here's how I'm feeling:
November 13th, 2010 at 4:45 PM ^
I'd say this is already a pretty damn good season, but we could win both of our games coming up. I sure want em to win the last game in the Big House this season, but I'd kill for a win against OSU.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:49 PM ^
If PSU beats OSU and Iowa rebounds to beat them next week as well as Michigan beating Wisky at home, The Game could result in Michigan jumping OSU in the Big Ten to end the year. Hey, crazier things have happened.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:51 PM ^
I like the way you think!
November 13th, 2010 at 5:07 PM ^
It's not going to be pretty..
November 13th, 2010 at 5:09 PM ^
....would make me even more upset that we only have 3 more games to play. I know that wasn't a Rembrandt out there today, but to me it was fun watching the team battle and get a league road win. You don't get those for free. It doesn't matter who your opponent is.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:15 PM ^
At the beginning of the season I predicted 8-4 with a win over OSU. I've never been wrong in my life.
November 13th, 2010 at 6:31 PM ^
November 13th, 2010 at 5:24 PM ^
Wisconsin needs to spend some time in the penalty box.
Signed,
The other B10 coaches
November 13th, 2010 at 5:31 PM ^
At this point, I'm almost in favor of the team purposely tanking next week against Wisconsin in order to ensure that MSU doesn't get an outright B10 title, especially if OSU goes down today.
Almost.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:39 PM ^
That's retarded.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:55 PM ^
...that usage, but I +1'd you anyhow because, yeah.
November 13th, 2010 at 6:12 PM ^
That is pure Little Brother thinking.
November 13th, 2010 at 8:19 PM ^
At this point, I'm really pretty much fully in favor of being 8-3.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:33 PM ^
the badgers drop 83 on Indy I wasn't aware that Indy had pissed in there wheaties recently?
November 13th, 2010 at 5:52 PM ^
I'm Ron Burgundy?
November 13th, 2010 at 6:19 PM ^
I always want OSU to be undefeated going into The Game, when I was on campus ('94-'98), that was a sure sign that Michigan would win.
