Looks like Sam Webb's Balz prediction has travelled to his gut for the three coveted Ole Miss transfers.

Rivals Michigan site used to be fantastic.  It was the cream of the crop for recruiting/team news.  How horribly they have fallen in such a short time.

I do believe Michigan is after Mathews and he has shown some interest. Little is a no go and that is a shame. It does'nt matter as I feel by adding Patterson, Anderson and Van Jefferson we will be ranked easily in the top four next year.

All three of these guys will be starters and have nfl type talent. Still lost on why anyone would be hesitant on Patterson. I guess some guys on here would rather see him at osu or psu. Ya think about that for a while. Getting Patterson on board is flat out a major win for Michigan football along with the other players. It puts Michigan squarely on top of the big ten, but some on here are hesitant.................unbelievable.

I think most of the concern over Patterson et al is around what longer term impact might that have?  Will it chase any current or potential future players away.

That being said, IMHO, you get a chance to add 3 qualtiy players, you have to take it.

Back in the eighties, the Browns were meh (not as bad a now), until the USFL folded and Bernie Kosar found a loop hole that allowed him to essential choose the team for which he wanted to play.  This sudden influx of talent vaulted the Browns from meh to AFC conference contenders.

Ask those people if the long-term impact of winning a national championship with Shea Patterson at the helm will chase away current or potential future players.

That being said with next year's schedule even going 11-1 with an otherwise NC-caliber squad would be something akin to a miracle, but Patterson has always and continues to pass the eyeball test in terms of looking like the type of QB who can get you there, right now, so you take him and worry about that other shit later.
