Lloydball sucks and thst was worse than an Oneill officiated game. Our wide receiver got tackled on 3rd down in double OT and he was short.

As good as the seniors are, michigan will have more talent across its roster than they currently have going forward -- especially at QB. While hard to swallow, this was about as good a loss as they could have -- outplaying OSU in their backyard, and losing because of a combination of forces, any of which could have turned the outcome the other way -- better QB obviously, a flag on the 3rd down pass in OT, hill NOT getting caught for unnecessary interference (still would have needed to move the ball to run out the clock) and, worst of all, the refs not having the guts to take a really hard look at that 4th down spot in OT (might have been barely been a 1st down, but no way the ball was spotted correctly). In spite of everything, Michigan lost by a hair.
No more 42-13 curb stompings. OSU will be in a dogfight pretty much every year from here on out, except when they're on the wrong end of a lopsided score.

Sorry, I love Harbaugh and all our coaches, and we owe our renewal as a program entirely to them, entirely, and I don't want any other coaches ever for us--but the Peppers plays were pure and simple, coaching malpractice. EVERYONE in the stadium knew what Peppers would do on offense, and worse, Indiana and Iowa and others have totally stopped Peppers. But yet we put him in against OSU, biggest game of the year, and he shows nothing new, nothing. In the biggest game of the year. Even Herbie was like "M must be setting up OSU for something here." But we were not.
Not saying that's why we lost, we had two INT's a fumble and bad officiating, but this was really disappointing comng from an innovative offensive staff that we have.

Everyone could see the D was gassed and it wasn't gonna get better. Should've gone for the win and the escape. I'll always question that call. I don't get it after what OSU did on their first possession

we brought don brown in for this game, our defense couldnt stop the qb run. he should give half his pay back. Peppers got caught cheating on the 2 tds in OT, and our defense couldnt stop the qb run

Dude, Don Brown ate Urban's lunch today. His offense did nothing until the 4th quarter and the only points they got off an actual sustained drive came with :01 left in the game. Don Brown crushed it today. Absolutely crushed it. This is a team averaging 49 ppg and Don Brown basically gave up 3 in regulation

Everything was fine. The big ten wanted two teams in the pkayoff and fucked us in the ass.
We should secede. Fuck Big Ten officials to death.

JH's playcalling sucks - its predictable and gives opposing defenses an extra player
There were no "innovative" plays
The "train" got wrecked
Peppers on O was a waste of 4 plays
I'm not sure we can go all the way -ever

Perhaps a moment of emotion only an hour after the game, but get off the total desperation train. We will win. Urban does not have the RPS and scheming advantage - a bunch of gratutious officiating and home cooking gave then a gift of a win (along with 3 OTs by Speight).
It will not repeat. UM is on the way to dominance.

Hell, Carr's offense from the 2008 Citrus Bowl would have won this game going away.

Kenny Allen was fantastic. He flipped the field more than once. He did everything he could to help Michigan out.

Yeah, so I have a question. All week we heard how "we're pulling out all the stops for this one." Well, where the fuck was ANY of that? Is "all the stops" the same worthless Pep Cat play up the gut? How about running into stacked lines on second and long, or play action from your own end zone? THIS is why PSD's and season ticket prices increased? Give me a break.
November 26th, 2016 at 9:51 PM ^
Seriously.
"Pulling out all the stops" was what...throwing on just about first down in the 2nd quarter? STOP THE PRESSES!
I'm not going after Harbaugh just yet, because unless they changed something for today's game, Drevno is the primary play-caller. And the last 3 weeks, he's been embarrassingly bad. Just awful. The "Pepcat" became a joke in the last month because everyone knows what's coming. Doing it on 2nd and 2 or something like that, hoping for a big play but settling for a 2 yard gain is one thing.
Doing it on 3rd and goal from the 5?! Christ Almighty.

I've seen coaches act like that or worse and at most get a warning.
November 26th, 2016 at 5:40 PM ^
I also wish Harbaugh would chill a little bit, but I don't think that penalty had much of an impact. Moved the ball from the 8 to the 4 yard line. I don't know how you could possibly call that "at least a 4 point swing."
Also that was the call/non-call that I thought was the most egregiously bad. Harbaugh has thrown his headset, hat, playchart, jacket, etc. tons of times. How are you gonna let him do it for two full seasons then flag him for it in his biggest game at Michigan? Ridiculous.
November 26th, 2016 at 4:59 PM ^
Peppers solid. Grant Perry, bad running into the kicker penalty, which our Defense bailed him out from, but gave OSU more downs. Felt like we asked the D for one too many stops today, though they did actually stop OSU on 4th down in 2 OT.

But he won't and it's one of the reasons we love him.
When he went apeshit crazy over the spot on the facemask, then did it again a short time later, broke his headset, and got the sideline unsportsmanlike all within a very short amount of gametime the team seemed to briefly lose it's mojo and composure. That is where the game turned.
November 26th, 2016 at 5:17 PM ^
Love our coach, no one else I would rather have. I just don't understand the play calling in the second half of some of these tight games. Feels like Lloyd Carr again. I feel like we always play not to lose as opposed to playing to win. I kept thinking all we needed was one more decent drive in the second half that ended in points and the game was over.
November 26th, 2016 at 5:29 PM ^
Meyer made a terrible blunder out of desperation. That fake punt was monumentally stupid.
I didn't love all of Harbaugh's play calling, but he showed guts at the end of the half, and later the TD pass to Hill was a fantastic call.
Defense played an incredible game. Taco was simply unblockable.
Had they been able to tackle Samuel when they had him in their sights it's very possible they win that game. Giving Barrett the first down was a terrible call by refs.
Really hard to win on the road with 3 turnovers.
Allen was great, Peppers return was huge. Our ST's dominated theirs, despite the dumb play by Perry.
Summary - coaching and ST's were both in Michigan's favor today.
November 26th, 2016 at 6:41 PM ^
Thought the playcalling was fine. There were numerous plays in which we had everyone blocked but one, but that one guy (usually it was McMillan) always seemed to make the clutch tackle.
I do wish we'd have used our last timeout in the 4th quarter though. If only we could have had 30 seconds after Lewis's kick return...
