Observation on the PAC trophy presentation

Submitted by crg on December 2nd, 2023 at 12:17 AM

The PAC commissioner (Kliavkoff) is not well liked by just about every faction within their conference (for those unaware, he has a large portion of responsibility for the final collapse of that conference after USC & UCLA had already announced their departure).  Whichever team won the game was unlikely to give him a warm reception.

So, when the time came for the trophy presentation, he was announced by the MC (Holly Rowe from ESPN), he took the trophy, handed it to UW coach DeBoer with a forced smile, and sank into the backdrop quickly... all without saying a single word to the audience.

Maybe a show of what we could see tomorrow (not just in the Big Ten game, but possibly the ACC and Big XII games if FSU and Texas win those, respectively)?

Harbaugh will just awkwardly stare at Petitti (w/o reaching for the trophy) until he's forced to say something?

Harbaugh is very good at being awkward, we'll see if Petitti can compete.

I don’t know what or who revel xp is, so no. I just plopped down the cash for good seats. This may be the last time for awhile that I can share something like this with my 2 sons. My oldest took a job in Florida staring the new year and my high schooler is heading off to the marines after graduation.  Plus I really wanna see that knob gobblers face when he has to hand JH the trophy. God willing and the creek don’t rise.

Would typically try to head out to beat some traffic home (live in the area).  Stayed two years ago but didn't bother last year. I'm assuming if Michigan wins, this moment will be one of the more memorable of the evening, and all of the people like me who might want to get to a car or a post game cocktail any other night will be in the house, ready let the commish have it.

I don't think it will be that easy.

I suspect Harbaugh will put his arm around him in a jovial manner and then, quite suddenly, switch to a headlock and give him a noogie on live tv.

He literally ran away to not get booed. I guess he didn’t need to make a speech since his job is over.

Who hands out the B10 trophy?  Joel or Jenny?  Hopefully Joel is in the thick of it.

Pettiti has to make a speech among the boos. It’s his first year.  If he is smart rather than a narcissist, he will wait out the boos and say something like “no team has had to come through such adversity before and we are proud to have Michigan represent the Big 10 at the next level”.  But I’d rather he say something stupid and get fired.

First…

WIN THE GAME

Harbaugh should just not reach over to grab it, and see how long homeboy is willing to try to keep it raised up in the air awkwardly before setting it down somewhere.

I say we go full villain. Refuse to take the trophy or just grab it and leave before it’s handed to us. A middle finger placed two inches from Petitti’s face would be nice.

I was thinking it would be great for some of the players to block the steps to the stage so he can't even get up there for the presentation. Let Fox or whoever else might be up there figure it out from there. I'd love to see a video of Tony scrambling around trying to find an alternate way up there but being blocked by a ring of players. Sort of Revenge of the Nerds style.
