Hard to blame him.  Brady never really used him effectively and it seems like Jim either doesn't think he fits his scheme or doesn't think he is good enough to even stay on offense.

He was so much fun too watch.  I am not so sure he was the greatest returner, when you look at actual production. But his enthusiasm was contagious.

On a related note. I use a work computer and can't get drupal as my system adminstrator won't let me download anything.

I am trying to attch  a photo of one of his punt returns against MD.

Any suggestions?

Overall, Norfleet HAS under-performed.
But it's pretty hard to find exactly where to put most of the blame considering:

Hoke & staffs overall coaching ability.
3 Different OC's (with none of them known for slot-receiver-love)
Generally poor O-line play.
Abysmal special teams scheme & execution.

and to be honest, while I'm sure Norfleet is a very hard worker, maybe he had an attitude or skill-set that just didn't mesh as well with the new staff?

Nothing bothers me more than wasted potential.

Seems like a great kid, but never had the speed to be a real game changer in the return game. He could definitely get playing time at a smaller school.

I searched "Norfleet" on twitter and there are tweets about Norfleet being dismissed from an hour ago.

First things first: Norfleet seems like a talented and entertaining guy that could school all of us athletically.

That being said, I think he has been crowded out of each of the positions to which he may have contributed. He's not really tall enough to be a WR in the B1G, not quite strong enough for RB, not quite elusive enough to stave off Peppers at PR/KR.

If he truly is on his way out, I wish him the best and perhaps he can find success elsewhere.

"He's not really tall enough to be a WR in the B1G ..." How did Jeremy Gallon manage to do it at 5'8"? How has Steve Smith done it in the NFL? Norfleet isn't *that* much smaller than those guys. I think his hands were something of an issue at WR, but not height.

The King coaches are very pro MSU though. They are the leaders of the Harbaugh/Michigan doesn't care about Detroit battle cry currently going around the high school coaching circles. It won't take much for that staff to have their own interpretation of what happened with Dennis.

If he picks MSU it has to do with his relationship with MSU. Kid isn't even a Detroit kid. I will be in the minority but I hope we go back to the Coach Carr way of recruiting Detroit. 1-2 kids a year and the rest go somewhere else. They take way too long to develop and a lot come with serious baggage.

The "Why" from this.  It was rumored for about a week that he was going to be gone, but the "dismissed" aspect is surprising.  Figured he would just transfer.

There have been rumors here and there of anywhere from 1-4 players leaving since about a week ago. It was thought that info. would start coming out any time now. I'm kind of expecting more transfers and/or medicals.

I hate to hear this... But for some reason, I feel like it's just a matter of time before we hear about Drake Harris taking a medical redshirt. I hope that day never comes because that's the one that'll hurt the most. Good luck to 'Fleet, if true.

Norfleet had little to no impact on the game. Most won't even know he isn't out there. That's two separate staffs who saw him play on offense and both didn't think he was good enough to touch the rock He played CB in the spring game for crying out loud!
