Submitted by andben on

And for those who have been asking, I will be holding a press conference tomorrow at school where I will announce my decision.

well according to my Canadian sources (which are far superior to American sources when it comes to a Canadian athlete) there is little to no proof he is going to the NBA. That same source has also said that there isn`t any proof to say he is going to stay at Michigan. I obviously cannot release the name of this source, and for that I am truly sorry but I could not keep this crucial information to myself any longer

It sure is entertaining to look back at those comments.

Between the always available for comment, pessimistic Michigan fans, and the the trash talking State fans, I'm not sure which is more amusing considering the final result.

Problem is that he is a Soph not a Freshman like Burke. Had Stauskas and GRIII been freshmen then I'd would have thought differently. But Nik pretty much had a season for the ages.

All I can say is, "told ya so."

Let's be realistic here, he's going to the NBA. Let's now hope McGary returns. If he does, I think with the second year leaps of Irvin, Walton, plus LeVert and Donnal, UM should have a good starting 5. Depth may be a bit of an issue now, but we'll see how it goes.

If Nik does go, he goes with numerous awards and a pretty solid resume that will definitely get him some attention in the first round of the draft. If he did decide to stay, however unlikely this seems at the moment, that would be an immense help moving forward into next season. Either way, he is a great talent and definitely an incredible asset to any team as we have seen for ourselves.

I wish him the best of luck.

And for anyone thinking he's coming back. If he was doing so, I think they would've all done it together.

I think both Nik and Glenn are gone, McGary stays.

Guys, he's gone! Hate to say it but normally players don't hold press conferences to stay in college. He's goin to the nba. I think all 3 leave. Mitch would've stayed if Glenn stayed another year.
