My "Cool Story Bro" Moment
I made the trek up from NJ to watch the game yesterday. It was incredible, obviously. Today, while driving back, my family and I stopped at Perkins in Ohio, not sure what exit number. I was still wearing my Denard jersey. When we were seated, the hostess asked me if I was at the game yesterday. We talked about it for a little before me told me her son played on Michigan's football team. Her son is Fitzgerald Toussaint. We spent about a good 15 minutes talking about the game and the TD he had taken away. She got a hefty tip to say the least.
As I said, it's just another "cool story bro" moment, but I thought I'd share.

That is a pretty cool story bro. Awesome. +1

+1 for the good tip

Hopefully in two years she will no longer have any use for your tip...

Working at those places is a fate worse than most of us can imagine. Reference barbara ehrenreich's "nickled and dimed" a truly amazing book

Awesome!

Fitz Toussaint's mom is a saint!
November 27th, 2011 at 7:53 PM ^
apparently she is 2-saints!!! haha!! get it, get it?!?!
BEATOHIO.
November 27th, 2011 at 8:15 PM ^
Very slick of you to put "BEATOHIO" at the end of your post so that no one could neg that joke. I'm on to you 1 percent.
November 28th, 2011 at 1:48 AM ^
Actually I think tpetruno was right. Fitz's mom is a saint, and Fitz's dad is saint. So Fitz's parents combined are the 2-saints!! But you are right too, in the sense of BEATOHIO!!
November 27th, 2011 at 6:58 PM ^
one of the last exits in Ohio. Very cool story.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:03 PM ^
Hopefully the tip wasn't too hefty. That sounds like a compliance issue.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:44 PM ^
It is fine as long as Fitz had no knowledge of the situation! Just ask the Newtons.
November 27th, 2011 at 8:58 PM ^
Should this thread be locked? If that was a very big tip it could potentially be bad. I mean I usually tip on the low side, but now I don't want to see Michigan in trouble because of something stupid like this.
November 28th, 2011 at 8:04 AM ^
Did you just brag about always typing low? You're a douche. People live off their tips.
November 28th, 2011 at 1:14 PM ^
A UM Law grad from almost 40 years ago, who is probably some rich lawyer now, bragging about being a shitty tipper = negative eleventy billion points or banhammer.
UMLaw73, get a fucking clue, don't continue this d-baggery.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:05 PM ^
Moms love to talk their kids up as it is. Can you imagine how she felt?
November 27th, 2011 at 7:06 PM ^
She didn't need to do any talking up. My family and I were gushing over him enough.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:06 PM ^
That is awesome, my cool story bro moment happened this past Thursday when i got to play Call of Duty with Thomas Gordon and chat with him about the upcoming game with Ohio.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:26 PM ^
I don't mean to be creepy when I say this but what's his gamertag?
November 27th, 2011 at 7:30 PM ^
If it isn't "PrisonAbz" then it should be.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:06 PM ^
an awesome story. When we rushed the field yesterday I got pushed from behind on accident. I was helped up by a nice man. I was about to say thank you when I realized that guy was Chris Perry. He is an awesome guy to talk with.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:07 PM ^
What if she had no relation to him, but just said that to get a hefty tip?
November 27th, 2011 at 7:07 PM ^
I would plus one this all day. Awesome story.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:10 PM ^
in the World Market parking lot at around 5:00 wearing full Michigan gear. Traffic was a killer.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:27 PM ^
My cool story is that I rushed the field after tr game and met Tim Hardaway Jr and Shane Morris and got a picture with both of them

best "cool story bro" of all time.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:31 PM ^
I've gone back and forth on if I should post my own cool story bro from The Game, and since we've got a nice thread going here, this seems like a good place to do it.
My seat on Saturday was unfortunately very close to the visitor section and there was one fan in particular (among many) that was very obnoxious. I typically make a conscious effort to ignore them and rarely interact--UNLESS they cheer when an opposing player is hurt.
So, when Denard went down in the second quarter, this bucknut started clapping and cheering. I couldn't bite my tongue and said something to the effect of his actions being classless and disgusting, to which he replied "you do what you gotta do" and "everyone does it." I responded that that is not indeed the case, and tsio and State fans are the only ones who do (coincidentally, I got in a similar argument with a State fan when Denard went down in East Lansing).
Fast forward to the second half when tsio had at least two or three players go down with injuries. When we heard no U of M fans cheer when the players went down (but instead only when they got up to make their way off the field), it was a great case in point for that bucknut that U of M has much more class and is not a program that cheers when other players get injured--and we made sure he recognized that fact.
Just another instance on Saturday that reminded me it's great to be a Michigan Wolverine.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:42 PM ^
Yea, if you cheer for a kid getting hurt you are a piece of garbage without question.
November 27th, 2011 at 8:23 PM ^
the kid is a douche in his own right and deserves to get hurt regardless of football allegiance. but luckily there's few of those.
November 27th, 2011 at 8:55 PM ^
I had the same thing happen when Denard got hurt. I was sitting with my friends and three OSU band alumnus were cheering when it happened. I ripped their shit so hard I don't think they cheered the rest of the game.

Pieces of garbage.
November 27th, 2011 at 10:09 PM ^
I had a Notre Dame fan tell me (this summer) that he would be rooting for Denard to break both ankles on national TV during the Under the Lights game. I was shocked because I don't expect that kind of ugly, no-class garbage from ND fans.
Needless to say I thought of that fellow at the end of the ND game, and hoped he was in the fetal position somewhere.
Speaking of classlessness, Eleven Warriors has been tweeting some pre-emptive outrage at the way the media will cover any NCAA sanctions. Apparently, criminal & disgusting scandals elsewhere means that we are all supposed to dial back our concern about programs who flout compliance with NCAA rules. Who knew?
November 27th, 2011 at 7:34 PM ^
That is a classic story....and it is cool, bro.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:41 PM ^
Excellent story.
When I read "Perkins" and "Hostess" my mind really began to wander and wonder where this was headed, aka Tiger.
November 27th, 2011 at 7:43 PM ^
Michigan would like to thank Fitz's mom for the birth of her son.

Michigan would like to give thanks to Fitz's mom for his fantastic name.

Not gonna lie that is a "cool story bro"

November 27th, 2011 at 8:41 PM ^
Why the hell are you holding out on us? What did you eat at Perkins?
November 27th, 2011 at 8:47 PM ^
and guess what? It was a cool story bro.
November 27th, 2011 at 10:20 PM ^
bro moment was during the home opener against Western. I mentioned it on a thread then, but I sat next to a lady who turned out to be Will Campbell's mom. She said her son loved Hoke. I bet a lot of people love Hoke even more after yesterday.
November 27th, 2011 at 11:07 PM ^
I wore a Michigan jersey to a Perkins recently. Turns out the busboy was Troy Smith.
November 28th, 2011 at 12:19 PM ^
to be the parent of a Michigan football player in Ohio right now.
Agreed...Hopefully in two years she will no longer have any use for your tip

There's no doubt that Apple has not only transformed computers but also marketing techniques which enable product users to love and be more loyal to the brand. .It's important that Apple keeps pushing awareness of new updates to their users. However, it's no surprise that the marketing outlet of television commercials which reaches the mass majority of their users is beginning to be ignored. TV viewers, especially viewers who already own iPhone and iPad devices are slowly starting to ignore the standard Apple commercials as shown above. The time for an existing Apple device user to realize an update is available is not as prominent as in the beginning of the iPhone era.
