MSU: "Those Who Have Stayed Are Already Champions"

Submitted by Wee-Bey Brice on

Looks like our friends from EL are out trolling again... I can't help but think they'll regret every word come Oct. 29

Pride comes before the fall or something like that

Sparty finally figured out that they are less likely to misspell the words if they just take something from us and modify it, rather than come up with their own stuff.

There is, apparently, no pride in stealing a phrase from a legend who coached the the current team's coach, before their fall  awaits.

Here's my take on this Little Brother crime of passion, Dantonio is tired of his team taking a backseat to Michigan in preseason recognition and wants to motivate his group by this challenge. My only takeaway from it is that he is running scared, knowing he got beat last year and survived on luck, and knowing luck won't save him this year. Superstition is the way.

There is Superstition. Thirteen months of maybe, seven years of bad luck, good things in the past. When you believe in things you don't understand, you suffer. We will make them suffer. Those who wait, will get their revenge in spades and then enjoy the championships that follow.

Oh, fuck off. They can't even celebrate their own success without trying to make it about Michigan as well. Sorry you're feeling your feelings right now, but this is stupid and obsessive and illustrates the "Little Brother" meme perfectly. What else do you want? Michigan fans to prostrate ourselves hoping for forgiveness until we win the game like Hoke did?

How about not furiously reaching for everything one can find in search for a triumph that has nothing to do with an actual football game? People here just come off as having a desperate need to feel superior and until their football team produces that feeling for them, they'll take anything else they can get. It's no less pathetic than Sparty's pathos.

Isn't it weird that MSU has so much recruiting material out there publically which is trying to compare their program to ours? I mean, I don't think many programs do that right? It is a bit obsessive.

Not growing up in Michigan I don't know many Spartans, thus the little brother thing was a bit lost on me. That being said, I finally understand when you guys say "the msu universe gets its value directly from Michigan."

What a bunch of little brother asshats.
