MSU Alante brown concussion

Submitted by We are back on September 3rd, 2023 at 4:33 PM

Alante brown left the MSU game on a stretcher after he hit on the opening kick off, he was cleared to play by msu medical staff and allowed to return to the field by msu coaching staff and even returned a kick off after.

im not a medical expert, but it’s clear by the video that Alante was KO’d on the hit.

ps, I suck at embedding.

Michigan fans protested how the university handled the Shane Morris incident, ultimately leading to Dave Brandon being fired. If MSU wants to get out of Mel Tucker’s contract, they have cause now to do so. That’s abhorrent in today’s day and age with all we know about head injuries to let that young man back on the field. He was literally immobilized and driven off the field.

As long as the MSU AD and Tucker meet the same fate as Brandon and Hoke.  They were torched by the media - and they deserved it. Morris at least staggered to the sideline. Brown needed medical attention and immobilized removal.

I’ve had 2 significant stingers and numerous teammates with stingers. None of those incidents looked like a KO in the 7th from a right cross. Stingers involve the nerves associated with the neck, shoulder, and arm with typical effect on one side of the body; the brain, legs and overall mobility are not impaired by the brachial plexus. It’s perhaps possible but highly improbable that Brown simply had a stinger.

It’s a viral story.

“Michigan State University SLAMMED by concussion experts for allowing Alante Brown back onto the field after he crumpled to the ground from a horrific clash of heads with 'clear signs' of concussion”

allowed to return to the field by msu coaching staff and even returned a kick off after.

He then went back into concussion protocol then changed into street clothes

If this situation was any team of note, this would be a huge story, but since it's MSU no one cares

To be fair it was a three if not four day holiday weekend and it was two unranked teams playing on FS1. It may generate some national news today, especially since the coach just scapegoated the university’s medical experts. The right answer from coach Tucker at yesterday’s press conference should've been, "Brown should not have re-entered the game and I take complete responsibility."

it actually does look more like a stinger given that he could appear to move his arm. Stingers can flare up agaun which would be why he was pulled for good, but just trying to cite MSU for doing something wrong really doesn't justify this take.

If this is a way for msu you to get Tuck out I’m going to be pissed.   I hope they keep him for as long and as much as his contract is for.
