The Monday Night NCAA Football Open Thread

You were likely aware, but there is college football tonight - Pitt makes its ACC debut against Florida State. So, those football addicts who are watching the game can make their observations here. It's the final game of the opening weekend, folks, so make the most of it.

For what it is worth, Massey gives Florida State a 76% shot at this game (based on past data, of course), predicting a score over many simulations of 27-17.

I have to admire Paul Chryst's honesty there - "I have no idea who we are", regarding team identity, if that summation is to be believed.

Tom Savage is doing quite well so far for someone who hasn't seen action in a while - 3/4 for 51 yards passing counts among the 80 yards on that drive. Not a bad way to start your season.

I'm rooting for Pitt because their quarterback is closer to my age than anyone in college football will ever be for the rest of time.  That's a legitimate reason, right?

Edit: Other than Chris Weinke's imaginary son, Chris Weinke Jr.

So, it feels like Jameis Winston should have been tackled for a slight loss on that scramble/ensuing rush, but Pitt looked a little unsure of where exactly that play was going.

Florida State only has 25 yards of rushing at this point, but then Pitt's pass defense hasn't given them much to be concerned about when it comes to throwing into traffic.

I went to the yahoo sports page to check the score of this game and I really hate the new layout.  On the previous format, you could click on any team and see all the scores for that team's conference.  Now if you want to check the score of matchup between unranked teams, you have to click through pages and pages of nonsense.
