San Diego Mick

and I hate having to do it....I appreciate that Coach B has made us better but this program seems to be regressing now for a 2nd year.

I realize injuries and attrition blah blah blah but we have yet to have a dominating big man under him, Mitch for half a season maybe, it just seems like we'll never have one with Beilein.

We don't crash the boards and when we can't shoot well we're hosed. I'm getting tired of not getting top recruits, U-M used to be a blue blood from the early 60's to the late 90's, we've upgraded the facilities, we need to do better than this, maybe Beilein has reached his ceiling?

How patient are folks willing to be if this shit continues year after year?

If you are suggesting we should, or will be getting rid of him before this new contract he just signed expires- you're absolutely crazy. Does he need to adapt his offense a bit more, yes, if he wants to satisfy our desire for a traditional big man. But he's going to have to want to make that move

they looked absolutely terrible even when he was in there.

JB and the staff have surprised me before with the way they've been able to pull a team that looks bad together into something better, but they look fucking horrible right now.

It wouldn't make a damn bit of difference if Caris were out there. This is a mismatch either way. The rotation needs to be trimmed significantly. No one can get in a rhythm. Also, someone needs to be the alpha. Until someone becomes the lead dog, our offense will continue to look like a bunch of guys playing pickup ball who are just looking for enough space to jack a three.

I like how this channels idea of a halftime show is trying to sell time shares for a resort lol. Well boys biggest bar night of the year enjoy your holiday weekend.

How the fuck do we get worse over a year, we brought back just about everyone and on top of that we added a few good ones. THIS TEAM IS FUCKING PATHETIC, and trust me I've seen a few bad Michigan teams with no where near the same same talent we have right now. It's unacceptable, the players just don't look like they want to play, I guess we're back to being a football school.

I usually try to break games down while watching as I used to coach some basketball. But damn, I don't know, this team has some serious issues I'm not sure can be fixed. On the ball defense is awful, non inside presence and rebounding, and we're just not at all athletic.

i would let him play with walton/levert more instead of irvin, so he can get the kickouts.  irvin can play more with maar/spkike where he his a better driver.

i would almost start DRob and bring irvin in off the bench.

It feels like we are shell shocked when people play defense against us. Almost like we are surprised that teams won't just let us run our sets without harassing us. Makes us look so soft. New Flash - in an actual game, the other team tries to stop you from scoring and they really want to score and get rebounds against you.

"Fell in love with the 3 point ball" -Coach B

Uh, isn't that a major emphasis in this offense?

I really though there'd be more backcutting (since there seems to be so much overplay off ball).

I digress

Irvin and Spike are both a shell of what they were at the start of last year. That's killing the team. We need those guys badly.

Otherwise, not enough talent out there to make up for the horrendeously soft defense these guys play. MAAR's done some things offensively, but doesn't play defense. Ditto for Wilson. I think Wagner will eventually bring some toughness to this team, but is still figuring out college ball and needs some S&C.
