He started doing his thing in 1995 and probably designed the layout around that time. And hasn't changed it since. You can see that everything is very early web design and the previews are basically print magazine format like you'd find in an old newstand copy of Lindy's or Athlon. As my 10 yo would put it, he needs to get into this century.

The word on the street is that once Phil Steele finally gets a quote he likes from the folks at Xoom for hosting the site, he'll migrate it and revamp it and then it should really look like he wants finally. They have to move to HTML 3.2 first so Netscape users can properly view the site though.

He basically thinks Rudock for O'Korn is a wash and we're better everywhere else except possibly OL. Still he projects one of our best offensive seasons in 25 years and a better defense, Easier OOC schedule and could be favored in first 11 games. What's not to like?

Steele downgrades Michigan on all position rankings ,  all is the key word, as compared to other publications. He obviously shows a scarlet and grey bias. I came away shaking my head and gritting my  teeth after  reading his analysis.

While some of the analysis can be hit or miss, you can't say that Steele doesn't pack the stats and info into a small space.  That is a lot of data for two pages.

So we're the first team he's done? Kinda weird to start with your #12 team.

If I'm wrong, my apologies, I can't read that inane website without getting a headache.

He is counting down his top 40 with one team per day. He pulls the link down from his webpage the following day, but they are still live if you search for them. Here are the links to other teams of interest previously previewed:

Yeah, so I thought the web page bashing was mostly hyperbole.  Then I navigated there.  There was no hyperbole - that web site sucks 80-yr old balls!  Holy hell, how does that even get pucblished anymore?

He has us starting 2 TEs and no FB. Not sure if he has an actual source for that, but it wouldn't surprise me, at least some of the time. We've got tons more talent at TE. We've still got a LOT of room for improvement on TO margin. Our D took away very few fumbles last year. If we could get to the +5-10 range, that would be a big difference. Our depth chart at S scares the shit out of me. I suppose if Thomas got hurt, Peppers could slide over, but we're not much better off at LB if he vacates that spot. Looking at what he's got listed, after our starters, we fall off a cliff. Better hope hard for Kinnel and Hudson to come along fast.
