Michigan-Maryland: 3:30
I had a feeling this was going to be 3:30 for some reason.

be 6-2 by the time next weekend rolls around. Not a good 6-2, but you know, 6-2 nonetheless.

In CFB?
October 24th, 2016 at 12:34 PM ^
that 5-2 Tulsa is slightly worse than 5-2 Maryland. 5-3 Akron is somehow 95th in S&P+.

Looking ahead to Maryland? Disrespekt!

No way.

That's great news. The team really needs your focus on MSU.

Glad to hear. I'm bringing a kid or two to the game and this will give us more time to enjoy the pre-game festivities!

Since Michigan is now the #1 team in the B1G, we'll likely get the later kickoff times for national exposure. The GAME is already a noon kick ... but Iowa is at night, so IU would be the last unknown kickoff time ...

Now that would fucking suck.
3:30 in November is already something I'm not happy about. Please, no late November 3:30. It'll be dark in the 2nd quarter.
It was cold Saturday when the sun went behind the clouds.

Not sure that the first concern of the muckity-mucks at Disney is how the sun going down impacts the temperature or comfort of the fans.
October 24th, 2016 at 12:34 PM ^
...that it's easier to warm up to cold weather than cool down to warm weather.
And don't have you have plenty of new Nike apparel to warm up with?
October 24th, 2016 at 12:38 PM ^
I wear the same thing to every home game. Yes, I layer when it's cold but it's a pain in the ass.

I love the cold weather. I keep my window open in the winter.
Not so much for sporting events. 50s-60s is perfect.

The Game been unbeaten v. unbeaten, they would have moved it to 3:30. No chance they were going to play that game at 9:00 AM West Coast Time. I did not believe that press release when it came out, or I guess I should say that I believed that it when they were setting it, but not when it would eventually be played if it was like a #1 v. #2 game.
October 24th, 2016 at 12:44 PM ^
I'll say it: I do not give a crap about what time it is on the West coast. That's not relevant to Michigan.
The game is being played in the Eastern time zone. This is why we schedule games based on our time zone and not 11pm night games so it's an 8pm game on the West coast.
And they already announced The Game for Noon. It's set. Outside of 2006, the latest it's ever been was 1:30pm. That's it.
October 24th, 2016 at 12:49 PM ^
it was set for noon in 2006 before ABC realized that would be single most ridiculous they could have ever done. We will never know now, but if those two teams were unbeaten I seriously doubt that game would have been played at noon. Just my opinion.
October 24th, 2016 at 2:27 PM ^
There are a lot of UofM alumni that relocated to the West Coast, but the primary reason you should give a crap about the West Coast is that Michigan recruits the west coast. Have you ever heard of Tom Brady? I sure enjoy watching Devin Asiasi play and that Erik Magnuson is quite a player.
I'd argue that the noon EST starts are preferred for west coast viewership (I love rolling out of bed and turning the game on.) Maybe when you grow up a little you'll expand your horizons and not be so provincial.
P.S. Early congrats on the 100K milestone. That's quite an achievement, no sarcasm intended.

just would not seem practical for most people, especially those with kids. There is no way I could watch a football game at 9:00 AM on a Saturday. I can't remember the last time I was home at 9:00 AM on a Saturday.
October 24th, 2016 at 5:41 PM ^
Actually its a recipe for a very drunken Saturday evening. When visiting my son for a November in Santa Monica we had to be up early Saturday - meaning we were already hungover - just to be at the bar for kickoff at 9 a.am. Three Bloody Marys later and there was o doubt where this day was headed.

Eh, I think that one still has a good shot at being a 12:00 kickoff. There's 7 conference games that weekend, with the 8PM marquee matchup between PSU/Rutgers already locked into BTN. Of the 6 remaining, only 2 (Mich/IU & OSU/MSU) are played in EST. I doubt they want those two games being played at the same time so one of them will get the noon slot and the other will get the 3:30 kickoff slot.

Love the 3:30.

I should be able to catch most of Nebraska-Ohio State @ 7:00, which is the only remotely interesting game on the schedule that day.

I have a wedding at 4.
October 24th, 2016 at 12:40 PM ^
People who get married on college football Saturdays are selfish. There are fifty-two Saturdays every year, yet some people choose one of the twelve that are forbidden. It just does not make sense to me whatsoever.
October 24th, 2016 at 12:46 PM ^
I've griped to my wife about this very thing. Not only 40 other Saturdays to get married on, 353 other days in the year. I get 12 all year to enjoy.
October 24th, 2016 at 1:07 PM ^
you'll get 15 games to enjoy this year.
