Love me some Xavier as the 1 seed. Love to have 2 seed UNC. Sets up perfectly to avenge the ugly game in Chapel Hill earlier this year. Couldn't have been much better other than MSU getting to play in Detroit and Michigan being stuck in Wichita. So pumped for Thursday, Go Blue!
I like Z and Rahk vs. Gray and Davis. They're nothing those two haven't seen a dozen times in the B1G. Also Beilein vs. Kelvin Fricken Sampson.

It is a Sparty thing to do... To buy tickets just to heckle your rival... However, they deserve it in such a huge way. I think eventually we'd have to beat UNC anyway because they'll go deep into the tournament no matter what. Might as well play them earlier and get it out of the way.

I have no qualms with Purdue.
But if Michigan and MSU are both 3 seeds, why not give the home court advantage to the team that beat the other twice by double digits both times?

Ugh the best 14th seed by 29 spots, a Houston thats underseeded, and a UNC that destroyed us. No easy path for us.

We could have been in Detroit for the first two rounds with this same bracket and still out West for the regional semis and final. That would have been fantastic. Being shipped to Wichita sucks for us because it's Grand Rapids sized but... far away. So we get neither the proximity advantage or the giant alumni base advantage we do in some of the bigger cities. LA might be pretty good for us if we can get to round three.
The committee wasn't going to do it like that. They gave MSU the home site and tougher draw as a counterweight.
We have a better bracket than msu but I don't like this. Houston is underseeded as a 6 seed and has great guard play. Montana is a pretty good team too so it won't be an easy first game either. On top of that UNC has already shown they are a bad matchup for us.
Going to take a good run to make it far but can't wait to watch
