That would be sweet, which is why you should ask, not demand it like they owe you ;p

Agree, though this is pretty important. We deserve The Game they way it is. I'd buy one as soon as they come out.

But I can't speak for anyone else, but "I" NEED it. Have to fight it in any way possible. And I don't want just an email, which was the equivalent of the water bottle controversy, to be the only weight I put towards it. I want to, literally, put my money where my mouth is. (Plus what do they care...they'll make some more money...because everyone knows you can't actually decide to buy something and get just one design...).

I'd definitely buy one.

I will absolutely buy this. And pay for rush shipping.

Yes, M-Wolverine, sir. I'm on it.
I'll think about it over the weekend and see what I can come up with.

For this, you might even want to make two different versions of the shirt - one in our colors (to be sold here) and one in OSU's (to be sold at a Buckeye site). I wouldn't normally advocate branching out to rival fanbases, but this is a special case. We have common ground with the OSU fanbase on this.

The Big 10
Where 11 > 10

Make signs to bring into the stadium.
What are some good slogans?
Save The Game?
UM / OSU Logos with October crossed out?
...
August 21st, 2010 at 12:16 PM ^
And chants. It would be awesome if we could get both the Michigan AND tOSU student sections to do something in unison on this one. I think that would reach the national media better than anything.
August 21st, 2010 at 11:17 AM ^
Sign me up for that, would definitely wear one to all the games.
August 21st, 2010 at 12:20 PM ^
We'd buy a few in our house
August 21st, 2010 at 12:21 PM ^
I'm sorry, but "save?" They're not taking us off of each other's schedules. The Game will still exist. Probably a poor choice of words.
August 21st, 2010 at 12:38 PM ^
"The Game" has far more meaning than just being on each other's schedule. If that it "exists" is all that's important, hell, let's play in August at Ford Field or Browns stadium.
Save is appropriate.

does anyone know anybody over at The Daily? A strong worded editorial would be helpful

And helping, this would be the shirt to be selling outside the Stadium before U-Conn.
Though I've always wondered why Underground Printing doesn't have a stand outside the Stadium somewhere on game days. If not AA Pioneer, some lawn in the area they could rent cheap (see they didn't even call me back for their marketing job and I'm giving them free ideas).
August 21st, 2010 at 11:08 PM ^
Some entrepreneurial type might also want to print up some campaign-style buttons (with, say, "Don't Move the Game" on them) to sell outside the stadium. I'm sure they'd sell.

Ha, we've had our arguments in the past, so it delights me to see us so lock step together on an important issue like this. :-)
August 21st, 2010 at 2:51 PM ^
Wow, I am pretty ambivalent about the whole thing, I prefer M and OSU to have the opportunity to meet for in the BT title game. But I do respect and like the passion people are showing for the "lost cause" (just kidding), best of luck and I hope you succeed.

And Brian may be firmly in this camp, but the majority I think are most worried about the game being moved from the last week of the regular season. The different divisions things is more split.
I know I'd rather have them play two weeks in a row (or three, with a break) with non-stop ESPN hype on The Game, and The Game Pt. 2 for two+ weeks (1 out of 10 years), then play a meh regular rivalry game in late September, and then maybe make that game even more meaningless in December (1 out of 10 years). Because they're not going to stop playing each other, even if they can play again, it's just when. (Though I do lean towards the "that's stupid" party....but that's not my greatest objection.
