MGoJordan Diamond update
An update to my previous assertion that Jordan Diamond was likely to pick Michigan: because this is 2012, that has changed to total confusion and uncertainty. Reportedly Auburn is back in the picture and Diamond is utterly undecided between them, M, and Arkansas, with playing time a huge consideration.
I consider the announcement tomorrow a total tossup. Is this the opposite of insider information? Kind of. Sorry.

This is Brian testing reverse psychology

So unfortunately as much as I hope you are right it's not his usual M.O.

RABBLE!
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:47 PM ^
very much. YOu are Brian, and I believe you.

Um, he's going to Michigan. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Diamond point at Brady Hoke at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

... Teresita Blabbermuch?
Yes, I knew her in school

could also suck the chrome off a trailer hitch.

this is the funniest thing i've ever read at mgoblog and that's saying something
February 3rd, 2012 at 3:08 AM ^
You are definitely overrated if you think your same exact post derserved to be in two different threads.
February 3rd, 2012 at 12:01 AM ^
That I read something very similar on another post, only that post was actually executed well.
February 3rd, 2012 at 4:56 AM ^
I know it's (probably) not your fault, but I posted this (not exact quote but a joke based on the movie quote) during the coaching search and then had it as my signature for a while after that. That's probably why people said they've seen it before? I'm not sure. That was a year ago.
Again, I doubt you did it on purpose. I'm just jealous because no one really laughed at my rendition and yours is met with rave reviews. I still love you.
Edit: I tried to actually find the place where I said it, and I came across an earlier post by someone else who did it better than me. Right below that post someone had written, "hey! I used this joke a few weeks ago on the board! still funny though"
I guess it goes to show that history does repeat itself. I thought it was a pretty funny coincidence.
February 3rd, 2012 at 7:40 AM ^
haha oh boy, well I thought it was truly original when I posted it...had never seen it on the board before, but that's probably because I'm fairly new.
I'm glad we can all agree that Ferris Bueller is a great movie. I offer this advice to Diamond:
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:47 PM ^
If no Diamond, are you at peace with Kozan at Center . . . would it fully make up for the loss of Diamond in your mind?
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:49 PM ^
I'm fine with that I would like a manball center
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:48 PM ^
Dang it. - SEC- hate those folks. Dosen't Auburn already have five OL - what gives ?. We will know tomorrow night - hope for the best.
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:50 PM ^
We have a rough idea of Jordan Diamond's physical location. And it is not "wandering the countryside in search of enlightenment" like certain recruits...
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:54 PM ^
February 3rd, 2012 at 12:29 AM ^
But with the nonsensical juxtaposition with the OL, that was pretty chuckle worthy.

February 3rd, 2012 at 8:28 AM ^
I heard that Yuri Wright played center in Pop Warner. He's got the experience!
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:56 PM ^
just curious, when OL prospects talk about early playing time are they referring to starting their freshmen year? I always thought it was pretty standard to RS to beef up then get ur shot at starting
February 3rd, 2012 at 1:01 AM ^
the case, but with our lack of depth though... I could see Kalis getting playing time as the number one backup, and then three years as a starter. I think the rest will likely redshirt.
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:58 PM ^
Kozan is waiting on Diamond's decision. We are getting ONE of them.
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:03 PM ^
They don't even play the same OL position...
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:14 PM ^
Why ? Because Auburn already landed five and Diamond would be six. And figure four of those are inside OL. Same thing if we were to land Diamond... it would surely kick one of our lineman inside. Read between the lines, why Kozan just happens to not sign his Iowa LOI, and has Auburn or Michigan to decide, as Diamond does. He is waiting on Diamond.
Would we take both? Yep. Will it happen? No.
If Diamond to Michigan, then Kozan to Iowa.
If Diamond anywhere else, then Kozan to Michigan.

Thus the circle/Mexican Stand-off/Infinite Loop we now find ourselves in.
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:01 PM ^
Brian read the Five Diamonds Theory, it will clear things up for you.
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:01 PM ^
Something tells me he's going ESS-EEE-SEE... didn't his mother love Arkansas for some reason?
February 3rd, 2012 at 12:12 AM ^
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:06 PM ^
No we are getting neither of them. Take off your maize colored glasses. This isn't the SEC; we don't have anything for the recruits other than a chance for glory and to teach them how to be great individuals in life. As a 17/18 year old, sometimes the chance to have a great teacher in life, such as this coaching staff, is not as appealing as playing in warm weather, having fans adore you, and maybe getting some extra things because you're a player. That being said, I understand what they would be thinking if they both picked Auburn or Kozan picked Auburn and Diamond picked Arkansas. Even Kozan going to Iowa after all wouldn't surprise me because he apparently has a great relationship with their (soon to retire, probably) offensive line coach.
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:06 PM ^
So 33% shot? Maybe we can win one of those sometime. Diamond would really be the jewel of our recruiting class if we got him.
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:18 PM ^
The jewel of our recruiting class? Srsly brah.
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:58 PM ^
except diamond > garnet in value

Yes, it does make Cigarro Cubano look stupid.

I saw Diamond eating blue M&M's today..what does it mean??!!
February 3rd, 2012 at 12:13 AM ^
He wants to eat up Michigan..or he wants to go to Michigan.
One or the other
February 3rd, 2012 at 10:17 AM ^
He poops blue. It'll go great with Hoke's gold.
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
we are exactly where we started the Diamond recruiting saga a year ago? Brilliant.
Well, at least one way or another it will be over tomorrow...unless he pulls a Kozan.
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:19 PM ^
Its to bad kenny powers feels that way.. Its a shame letting all that talent go to waste
February 2nd, 2012 at 11:19 PM ^
Diamond isnt projected as a
center is he? If not then why would Kozan be waiting for him?
February 3rd, 2012 at 3:06 AM ^
Because he's not smart. That's literally the only conclusion I can come up with. Because he def seems to be wait for Diamond.
February 3rd, 2012 at 10:19 AM ^
Timing is not causation. [Insert rooster/sunrise cliche]. Kozan is thinking. It's a big decision, and not just about football and PT.
