For OSU, it's concerning how much the DTs seemed to be cleared out on run plays today. Plus there were a few wide open receivers Taulia just missed. Those are OSU TDs. If we win next week, we're gonna have to win a shootout. Offense will have bat almost 1.000

I came here to check on Hawkins as well. He was not out there much at all. I never saw anything specific and the telecast didn't mention it, but his absence was noticeable early enough in the game. We had Moten and Moore out there together, and having two first-year players at safety next week would be rather terrifying.

They played well against an explosive offense. They made key stops. I had the Terps scoring 24 against our guys so the defense played well.

On the bright side, they had a Pick-6! Loved it!

Looked like a clean game, no injuries heading into the The Game!

You are remembering the 3rd quarter and a running QB. That is what I remember. It will not be the same next week. It doesn't mean our DTs will transform. I think they fit stuck with backups in some plays because of switches. Hope they let starters play through and not substitute too much next week. I am not sure if I would put it as run D is bad. There were many scrambles in there.

Great pass rush, led by Hutch.  Nice pick 6 DJ.  Hope Brad Hawkins is ok.  Hutch and Ojabo will be introducing themselves to Stroud next week.  Pressured Tulia and handled Maryland up tempo pretty well.

I hope so re: the DEs, but OSU gets the ball out to playmakers pretty quickly and when Stroud sits back, he usually has WRs breaking free deep.  We need our secondary to close those windows and make him think about it a beat longer for Ojabo and Hutch to get home.
Remember, Stroud has been sacked only 5 times in conference…on 267 dropbacks…

Didn't make me feel more confident about beating OSU but good game overall.  Those scrambly qbs who just heave it up there are tricky.

Feel like we'll need to force some turnovers to win next week.

Maryland is a good passing offense and we held them in check. OSU is a whole different beast obviously but we did show something in that regard. Good news, about “scrambly QBs” is that Stroud is not one and will hang in the pocket and sometimes holds the ball for too long

I wish they would clean up some of those long drives that end with points for the other team but they kinda are what they are at this point. Great when the pressure is getting home but can be iffy if it's not.

Defense was not great today, but they didn't need to be. Even so, they held a gimmicky tempo passing offense under 20 points on the road. DJ Turner with a nice pick-6. Hutchinson probably scraped by +15 in UFR scoring yet again.

Next week, they will need to be great to get the win. What you got Mike Macdonald? You're about to take your final exam for this semester. And it will be cumulative.

Make sure to use a No. 2 pencil, please.

That QB was slippery. Holy cow. Ojabo had a hand on him and he slipped out. I saw some nice tackled but also some missed ones. Scrambling got them, especially in the 3rd quarter. Tempo and substitution need to be cleaned up. Otherwise, a nice game by D and did enough. It almost felt like they weren't trying hard in the second half and let a few plays slip.

The defense was shit and bailed out repeatedly by Mike Locksley's crappy coaching and Little Tua's inconsistency.  OSU will easily reach the 50s against us next weekend.

Defense was fine - good even. 24-3 at half. 41 point beatdown.

Yes, MD shot themselves in the foot repeatedly; Terps gonna terp.

Taulia missed some wide open guys, but he does that, especially when he's being chased.

Game was never in doubt. Complete thrashing. Terrapins moved the ball a bit, mostly after outcome was decided.

Slippery QB's are frustrating.

DJ Turner with the pick 6! Found our playmaking CB!

Michigan's defense is so much better than expected, there's not enough praise to give.

Turtle Soup! Beat Ohio!

They ended up with 350 so they moved more than a bit.

my big concern is out ends go all out to get sacks and don’t maintain proper rush lanes. It was a real problem against psu early until Clifford was too beat up to run and barring a change osu will exploit that weakness with draws and qb runs.
osu has all the weapons to exploit our D and I fully expect they will next Saturday.

hoping we can get some turnovers and win a 37-35 game

The md offense has moved the ball on everyone. Said before the game they will move the ball here too and they did. Osu is going to put up 500 yards of offense, people need to accept that now. The question will be whether some timely sacks that force field goals instead of touchdowns keeps them to 35-40 points rather than 50+ and whether the offense can put up 40+. We aren’t winning this game with less than 35 points.

I was surprised at how Maryland OL pushed our DT around. The DTs played much better against a heavier PSU OL. I hope they play much better against OSU. I don't like how OSU offense has transformed into the best offense in the country, even better than Georgia. It sucks that we may lose again and I cannot blame the players or Harbaugh, its just superior athletes going against our decent athletes.

Excellent job by the D. MacDonald should have them ready for the up tempo, If not then only God can help us. Need to pound the hell out of Stroud next week. Covering 3 NFL wideouts will be a challenge, but Turner has stepped up his game big time.
