The same Crable that took a really dumb penalty in 2006 vs OSU and forgot to block his man on the FG vs App St?
November 11th, 2014 at 4:49 PM ^
This guy.
I'm not going to even touch your ridiculously inaccurate implication that guys that grew up in rough neighborhoods have low character. Because that's not even worth it.
November 11th, 2014 at 6:33 PM ^
I didn't even get into the racist implications this fool laid out here for us.
November 11th, 2014 at 6:31 PM ^
Is one of the dumbest things I've read on this site. Let's continue to celebrate the whiniest, most entitled group of alumns who, through their devisiveness, helped to serve us the shit sandwich we've gotten to bite into every saturday since he left. I'll always love Lloyd for the title, but I lost a lot of respect for him since he left.
And while Crable is a former Wolverine and therefore someone who's service I appreciate, the two plays I most remember him for are hitting Troy Smith out of bounds and blocking the wrong f'ing player on the blocked field goal against ASU.

But it's pretty consistent with how that call usually goes in college. If they make that call in the NFL they are still talking about the screwjob today.
November 11th, 2014 at 7:18 PM ^
That's some weak shit, man. What the hell were you doing for 9 years? Waflling? Flip-flopping? Hoping that George Perles was the real deal in East Lansing? When I hang out with Michigan fans, I want their umbilical cords dripping with maize and blue effluence. None of this 9 year lag in true fandom.
That's how I roll.
/Kinda S
EDIT: Sorry, Bee Train. Replied to the wrong poster...should've been directly responding to Blast Double above. I'm not calling you weak shit.
November 12th, 2014 at 12:16 AM ^
It happens.
November 11th, 2014 at 8:36 PM ^
Larry is way off, the only football thing Hoke does right is recruiting. The problem is that those players do not perform once they get here which can only be a result of poor coaching. Busts happens, but not entire recruiting classes over multiple years of players coveted by the rest of the country. It's all just bad coaching.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:05 PM ^
this is just an opinion which he has the right to say but he gives no concrete evidence on why harbaugh isnt cming.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:08 PM ^
Although I consider this gif to be slightly offensive, I still find myself laughing at it every time.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:14 PM ^
Had mixed feeling about posting it, but in the end I also laughed.
From the looks of things today, it looks like some people can use a laugh or two.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:24 PM ^
How in the shit could that possibly be offensive?
November 11th, 2014 at 2:32 PM ^
I might be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that's a gif of kids in the middle of a religious service. One of the people leading the service has their head replaced by that of a velociraptor, suggesting that something that's originally at least a little bit sacred is instead just a giant joke.
I don't find it offensive, but I can see how someone would.
November 11th, 2014 at 3:26 PM ^
I meant "offensive to sane people."
Cultists who nuke the brains of their children before they have a chance (like the movie from which that gif is cut) deserve to be ridiculed all day, every day. Raptor jesus is a fantastic way to do just that.

This ^
Not enough guts to talk smack about Muslims.
Christians are safe though.
November 11th, 2014 at 7:31 PM ^
... when you realize that everything is constantly nuking children's brains, your brain, and my brain, every moment of every day of our lives.
These people chose Jesus nuking for their children, others nuke their children with a TV set, pick your poison.
When those fundamentalist christians start a campaign of international terrorism and murder I'll rethink my views on them.
This innocuous Jesus stuff seems to get psuedo-intellectuals all worked up. It's because you don't have the brains or the balls to contribute anything positive or constructive to any discussion about the various follies and failings of our society.
You really think you're better than them? Does that make you feel strong?
Stick to sports talk, brah.
November 12th, 2014 at 11:53 AM ^
When those fundamentalist christians start a campaign of international terrorism and murder I'll rethink my views on themThe Catholic church has been doing that for centuries, but thanks for playing. Also, your standards for "bad" are utterly laughable. Plenty of dangerous, harmful people and ideals don't reach the level of "international terrorism." That makes them no less despicable.
You really think you're better than them? Does that make you feel strong?Of course I'm better than them. Most people are. Maybe you're not.

That the gif glorifies cults and/or make fun of religious groups. I guess I can see this, but I don't know how everyone thinks.
I thought it was poking fun at cults when I first saw it, so it made me laugh.
Just like art and other things, meaning is in the mind of the person viewing it.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:43 PM ^
Wait, so Jim Harbaugh is really the leader of a cult that deifies dinosaur/human hybrids?
November 11th, 2014 at 3:07 PM ^
Harbaugh is a sauropod.
November 11th, 2014 at 4:01 PM ^
Sauropods had very long necks, long tails, small heads in relation to their bodies, and thick, pillar-like legs.
Makes me wonder where he finds khaki pants that fit.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:44 PM ^
It is insensitive towards velociraptors, okay? End of story.
November 11th, 2014 at 3:11 PM ^
I'm scrolling back up to downvote it.
November 11th, 2014 at 3:42 PM ^
We still live in a world with signs like this:
November 11th, 2014 at 2:06 PM ^
Attitude reflects leadership, captain.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:07 PM ^
Larry is just throwing you all off my trail... classic Larry.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:08 PM ^
Is Larry Foote saying Michigan is too white?
November 11th, 2014 at 2:13 PM ^
No worries though... I'm making him recruiting coordinator to reach out to tha hood.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:14 PM ^
I think he is saying Michigan needs hungrier players
and he believes that hungry players are from lower income areas
if you want to make an assumption about the ethnicity and race of those people go ahead - he did say hood. but I think what he really means is just guys who are the first guys in their family to go to college
November 11th, 2014 at 3:45 PM ^
You, good sir, are the one making assumptions.
November 11th, 2014 at 3:50 PM ^
and you are trying to gloss it over.
November 11th, 2014 at 6:10 PM ^
I wonder what Amani Toomer would have to say about this thread.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:14 PM ^
They aren't badasses because they grew up in a stable, privileged household and never had to fight for anything.
And what's been one of the major complaints about this years team… That they aren't physical enough and that they get beat at the line of scrimmage due to lack of toughness and fight
November 11th, 2014 at 2:38 PM ^
please show me some actual data that shows there is a correlation between socioeconomic status and football success that is independent of fundamental disparities in genetically-based athletic characteristics between different racial groups.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:56 PM ^
maybe the toughest guy to ever wear a pistons uniform came from a rich dad
Bill Laimbeer - he is also a true a-hole
Tom Brady / Brian Griese were plenty tough
there are guys from cass tech who have played on the football team which I would not consider to be overly 'tough'
so it just depends on the person and whether or not they really want it
November 11th, 2014 at 2:09 PM ^
He basically said, "why would any NFL coach go ever go back to being a college coach?" He had absolutely no specific info on Harbaugh himself.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:10 PM ^
Asked about the current Michigan team, which is 5-5, Foote said, "They better change up their recruiting. They better get some eyes in there that can find some NFL talent. Michigan better go back to the hood (recruiting). They've got too many trust fund babies and they look like that when they're playing. They've got guys out there – they're just happy. They're happy they're playing at Michigan. But that's not Michigan football; the attitude has to change."
November 11th, 2014 at 2:13 PM ^
Michigan - and just about every football program - has consistently had players from a mix of backgrounds. Perhaps if Larry Foote comes back for a game, he can be introduced to Frank Clark.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:25 PM ^
Foote has a legit point here. And I would say his opinion would be worth waaaay more than yours or mine on this topic. He's from the hood, played at UofM with tough ass kids, and played a long stint in the NFL, as we all know...
Can you argue against the eyeball test? We DO play soft, and our kids dont seemed to get pissed off about it. Who else could you introduce him to besides Clark and RJS?
They do kind of look content in just playing, hell Funchess said wins are just stats!!!
The school I recruit at is 50% "hood" if you will, and I would much rather have a team full of those kids as opposed to kids who still have their mom's tits in their mouths...
November 11th, 2014 at 2:27 PM ^
I realize that you're probably a huge asshole in real life as well, but you really don't have to try so hard.
November 11th, 2014 at 2:30 PM ^
lead you to beleive I am an asshole?
I'd say your the ass, for calling out a stranger and calling him an asshole. And I don't try, it just come naturally.
Really though, how do you feel about the statements I made, agree?disagree? any reasons as to why? I welcome a friendly, or not so friendly, discourse...
