Dominoes should start to fall tomorrow.  Im actually excited about this team next year.  This could be Beileins most talented squad ever if Wagner and Hyland join this years class.

Lets break it down:

3 year starting point guard; top five point in the country

2 year starting center prolly top center in the country

Stretch four in Livers who can 3 and d

add in Johns, DeJulius, Castleton, Hyland, Wilson, Bajema and Wagner and top to bottom its the most talented roster.

maybe the bottom of the roster has more potential if thats what youre going for...im not sure.  time will tell obviously.  its not their most talented roster though.

teske and simpson are very good, well rounded college players and theyve got some younger guys with potential - but burke, hardaway, robinson, stauskas, lavert, etc comprised a much more talented roster (and thats just the first team that came to mind).

if #s 8-13 or whatever from 2013 did not have as much impact, potential or however you want to measure it, the top half of the roster more than offsets.  maybe youre projecting some of next years younger guys as better pro prospects after serious development but that 2013 squad still wins every day in my opinion - 6 pros plus dudes like morgan, albrecht

I’d be interested in knowing who you would put ahead of him? Teske is most likely the best defensive center in the nation. The only thing “lacking” is his offensive toolkit. Add a few post up moves, get that 3 point shot more consistent. He’s the top center in the nation without a doubt. He’s at worst top five right now.

If no one else is added to the roster for next season and no else leaves, this is the Michigan men's basketball roster for the 2019-20 season:

Likely Starters: Jon Teske, Isaiah Livers, Zavier Simpson
Expected Rotation Players: Eli Brooks, Brandon Johns, Colin Castleton, David DeJulius
Possible Rotation Players: Adrien Nunez, Jalen Wilson, Cole Bajema
Scout Team: C. J. Baird, Luke Wilson, Jaron Faulds, Austin Davis, Rico Ozuna-Harrison

Last season's top three scorers (39.8 PPG) are gone. I'd expect that Livers, as a junior, will be able to provide at least 75% of the scoring and probably better defense to replace Ignas Brazdeikis (14.8 PPG) in the starting lineup, but I have no idea where they'll get the scoring to replace what Charles Matthews (12.2 PPG) and Jordan Poole (12.8 PPG) provided last season. None of the other returning players outside of Simpson and Teske averaged more than 2.5 points a game last season, and Brooks (12.9 MPG) was the only one of them who averaged more than 4.2 minutes a game.

It seems like there will be a lot of pressure placed on last year's freshmen and Jalen Wilson and Cole Bajema to produce more than the freshmen other than Brazdeikis provided last season.

Excuse my ignorance but would this be a big get or loss?  Looked up his stats and see a 6'6 kid from a bad team that went 33% from 3 and 59% from the charity stripe.

Honestly if he doesn’t come to Michigan then it kind of makes me more excited to see what Bones Hyland and Franz Wagner have to offer us. Sam and Matt have been hyping these two up a lot lately.

Been saying for a few weeks this had the feel of Cam Johnson 2.0. Had a feeling when UNC got the last visit, we were in trouble. I'm also getting pretty concerned that if we strike out and don't get Franz Wager, next year could be a challenge.

Hoping for the best tomorrow, we shall see.

I think the worst case projection for him is higher than that. He's in that range this season but Alba Berlin plays tougher competition than NCAA hoops; 28 year old Peyton Siva is his point guard and Walton hasn't gotten any run for them.

Somewhere between 20 mpg Just A Shooter and Iggy-level impact (though their games are obviously different) seems the range with the former a much more likely outcome.

He doesn’t get many minutes on the top Alba Berlin team and doesn’t really get any stats at all when he does play.  He’s essentially freshman Moe with  4 less inches of height, he won’t be a big contributor until his sophomore year if he comes at all.

Most have said, including Mo himself, that Franz is ahead of where Mo was at this point in their development. I don't know for sure how well Franz would be able to step into the college game immediately, but Mo definitely had the talent as a Freshman and showed flashes in his limited minutes. His problem was that he needed to play the 4 or 5, and was not strong enough to compete on the defensive end.

I think Franz would have the opportunity to at least come off the bench and be a shooter at the 3.

i have become so jaded about the entire process and the gross misdeeds by the alleged 'blue bloods'.  out today about arizona's program here:

Federal prosecutors on Wednesday played a recording to a jury of a phone call in which former Arizona assistant Emanuel "Book" Richardson told aspiring agent Christian Dawkins that Wildcats coach Sean Miller was paying star center Deandre Ayton $10,000 per month while he was enrolled at the school.

this is a wire tap, not just some guy trying to testify to save his neck.  after UNC getting to walk away from a decade or more of total academic fraud, seriously, we are a tiny island of integrity in a sea of ethical fecal matter.  we don't pay for players and there's no way this kid goes blue.  period, end of story.

Will Wade?  Hell, Sean Miller is STILL coaching Arizona!!!  Bill Self was caught offering Zion Williamson $120K, and is STILL coaching.  Mike Kshachefski did something to get Zion to turn down Self's $120K, and nobody bats an eye.  Tom Izzo has essentially been caught covering up two separate rape cases, and professional media have no idea where East Lansing is.

I swear, you could put NCAA basketball in a manure spreader and use it to grow crops in the Mojave Desert.
