That Big Ten logo is SOOOOOOO last month.

Looking at this, I honestly don't know what to think. They're certainly pretty different from what we're used to. As far as I know, M has never reversed the helmet colors or added a matte finish to the paint. Off-hand, I count 11 Nike logos on the whole uniform which might not go over well with fans who freaked out about the Arby's logo on the Big Chill design.
But yeah, this would probably be the end of the AD administration as we know it if they trotted these out for a home game. I think maize jerseys are about as radical as Michigan's ever conceivably going to get, if it ever comes to that.

The Nike logo on the 'M' on the pants is appalling.

is that Harbaugh will read this blog, see so many commenters saying "could of," "would of," and "should of," and will happily return to Stanford, certain in his belief about UM's General Studies curricula, and The Cardinal's academic superiority.

Congratulations! You could of kept quiet and thought, "Its no big deal, their just commenting on the internet," but you instead decided to take a strong early lead for Worst Human Being of 2011. I salute you.
Commenting on a person's usage to make yourself feel like a special little flower is brutally pathetic. I should know because I have some questions for you regarding how exactly "The Cardinal's academic superiority" is a complete sentence.
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:51 PM ^
I'll assume your use of "could of" was strictly for comedic effect.

csam also nailed #2 ("its") and #3 ("their") on the list of ten flagrant grammar mistakes that make you look stupid. He also revealed an inability to appreciate that a comma does not indicate the beginning of a sentence.
Yeah, I'm the Worst Human Being of 2011. And I'm still in a foul mood.

It is a message board, not work or school. Besides, you'll find things much more embarrassing to the university just by walking on campus or at the hospital.
January 3rd, 2011 at 1:13 AM ^
There is still tradition in those Nike jerseys. The pants are still maize.

It really looks like something that you can make on NCAA 11'
January 2nd, 2011 at 11:53 PM ^
I'd be down for going all Oregon on our away jerseys.
January 3rd, 2011 at 12:28 AM ^
Me too. I really like Oregon's uniforms and it wouldn't be such a bad thing to have our traditionally boring away jerseys more awesome. The away jersey's have definitely never had the same luster as our coveted home jersey.
January 2nd, 2011 at 11:53 PM ^
Our apparel will be made by whoever bids highest.
If we are back on top of the NCAA football landscape by the end of our Adidas contract, maybe Nike will outbid them. I doubt it, though.
January 3rd, 2011 at 12:03 AM ^
Bill Martin is? I know money talks but it is still hard looking at Adidas making our uniforms. I have always been a NIKE fan but since MICHIGAN is going with Adidas, i wear it everywhere go.
Recruits love NIKE TOO. Steve Breaston has been asking for NIKE to come back also.
MICHIGAN does have some great Vintage stuff though.
Always support MICHIGAN NO MATTER WHAT!
GO BLUE!!

I just wish that when they say they're selling "authentic" jerseys that they were actually, you know, more like what they players wear. The "authentic" jerseys they sell are decent quality, but they're not very authentic, other than that they're made by adidas.
January 3rd, 2011 at 12:55 AM ^
That is the reason that i will not shell out $195 for one and when are the Tech-Fit jersey's going to be available to the public? I called Adidas and they were like, "Ummm.....like, i we don't know." sigh. I understand that they are compression but those look great for a Adidias jersey.
January 3rd, 2011 at 2:04 AM ^
The team isn't even wearing them.
And they're not designed for wear without shoulder pads and football equipment. Why on earth would you want to wear a skintight compression jersey, much less spend $200 for the right to do so?

why am I having trouble embedding videos, I get them to work only half the time, and can't find useful info from the site list. Whats the damn secrete!

...and will continue to suggest the we get Ralph Lauren to the uniforms. We'll promptly be sporting the Tom Harmon classics as below:
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:56 AM ^
It wont' happen for a while, but the quality of the jerseys are not even close to what Nike was creating
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:31 AM ^
Adidas signed Michigan because they offered us twice as much money as any other school that has an athletic gear sponsorship, it's not even close.
January 3rd, 2011 at 10:30 AM ^
This topic really kills me. I mean it makes me want to break something.
We have one of the top contracts in the NCAA with Adidas. We get twice what other major college programs get. And if Adidas tries to pay another school more for some reason, they have to bump us up as well - its in the deal.
Oh, but Nike's cooler? You like their Dri-fit shorts better? Oh ok, cool. Then maybe you can pay for the women's rowing team to get a new boat.
BTW, Auburn is fucking Under Armour. Success has nothing to do with the fucking equip brand.

I started following Michigan football during OSU week in 2006. I'm sorry...
January 3rd, 2011 at 2:11 PM ^
I don't particularly love Adidas, but all of the Nike rebranding would have the old folks dropping like flies at the first few games.

the America hats and shirts. Who doesn't love America?!
