How to watch basketball game vs Long Beach State?
I noticed tonight's 7pm game vs Long Beach State is on the B1G+ service. This is not the same as being on the Big Ten Network.
I believe one must subscribe to the B1G+ service, and it's not cheap.
What other options, besides subscribing to B1G+, do we have for watching the game from home?

One reason the B10 media contract is so lucrative:
You used to be able to get all the B10 games by signing up for Fox and for BTN. Now you have to sign up for Fox, BTN, ESPN, Peacock, CBS, and probably the Discovery and Lifetime Channels.

B1G+ is accessible as part of the "on campus" availability of the network.

I've used it in the past, but it hasn't been working recently. I reached out to IT support regarding access, but it's been disabled for "afflilated sponsors," meaning, it's available for staff or students that need it, but it's been turned off for the time being for basically anyone else.
I asked if this was related to the hack back in August, and the rep said, yes, they are limiting access for the time being. My guess is that it won't come back for a long while.

Alumni are not eligible to use the VPN. I have tried it in the past and did not work.

This is not true - the IT website says that it is specifically allowed for alumni. The August hack has "temporarily" disabled the VPN for alumni, which I confirmed with the University IT department today.

According to UM IT Services: The Alumni VPN service is not available at this time due to routine maintenance. The start time for the maintenance was September 1.

you could try to YouTube "Michigan Basketball Live". Sometimes someone will stream, it occasionally gets pulled off the site but usually ends up working.
Don't give the B1G money. Worst case scenario, listen to the radio.

I don’t advocate giving the big10 any money but you can get big10+ for $10 a month. Not exactly breaking the bank. I got it for the exhibition game and cancelled immediately after the game. This was before all the garbage with Pettite

If you can wait up to 24 hours the youtube channel 'the draftmatic' has lots of ncaa games and has had every one of our basketball games including the exhibition so far. Usually it's up the same day but sometimes not until the next.
