Hilarious Jordan Fuller Quote

Hilarious quote by Buckeye safety Jordan Fuller about the ref's overturn of the scoop-and-score:

"I'm not paid to be a ref, but it looked like he caught it to me, but I'm not paid to do that, I'm not even paid to play yet" (source: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/28386496/range-emotions-replay-calls)

First, he says "but I'm not paid to do that".

At that moment, it's almost as if he realizes that he's not supposed to make it sound like he's paid to do anything at all.

So then he says "I'm not even paid to play yet".

Hmm....

That's why that was just a hit job by the Free Press.

They did all that investigating into Michigan and never once asked another team if they did similar things. They knew there was a good chance they would have found a bigger story, but that would have diminished the impact on RR and Michigan.

I think you’re reading too much into it.  But I do think ‘benefits’ are involved with players like Fuller.

FWIW, I think the WR took a few steps with good control of the ball before it was knocked out.  Should’ve been an OSU TD, but who cares?  Fuck OSU.

but yet every single official that has been interviewed said it was a catch and fumble. a "football move" is not moving up field, it is demonstrating control and movement with control. so a good DB who is controlling the player has to let him loose so he can "make a football move' to strip the ball? Look i loved seeing their dreams come crashing down but acting like this was a correct overturn is just stupid. if that was in THE GAME and chris olave was the receiver and our DB did that and they overturned the on field call we would be screaming to the hills that the fix is in. do better.

Credit to Olave though for manning up and taking the blame on the game-ending pick:

"It was my fault," Olave said. "I was supposed to run a post, but I thought he was scrambling, so I tried to work the second part of the route, but it ended up he wasn't scrambling. He trusted me to run that post, and I didn't, so it's a mistake on me."

Many players mess up in the heat of the moment. Like Kamara’s Guarantee vs osu last year or the making a statement BS prior to Michigan’s game in Madison.

Kind of like Mercury Hayes saying he gets "paid to make that catch" when he caught the game winner against Virginia.  (And then he clarified his statement.) It was just a figure speech by a young man aware that things get taken out of context.

Michigan 18 Virginia 17 to start Lloyd Carr's career as HC.

I honestly do not see how that could be called a completion and fumble.  It wasn't even that close.  I've seen countless plays where the player possesses the ball, takes one or two steps without being touched by the defender and moves up field in the process, gets ball knocked out and they call it INCOMPLETE every single time.  If that is incomplete then the play last night was incomplete 100% for sure without a doubt.

Bahaha. Thought the same thing. He realized he needed to push the back button ...beep, beep, beep  “i mean I’m not paid to play here, I’m paid to play online classes...wait no i mean, I’m paid to .. , I’m just going to stop talking and eat this L”

I’m shocked this much ...0%

Oh no, did the Suckeyes get screwed by a bad call?  Were their hopes dashed on a 50/50 decision?  Oh wait, it was the correct call because in real time (ie what really matters) the receiver took a few steps because he was being pushed by the defender.  He never made an unassisted football move.  They're complaining about 4 or 5 calls, when the fact is that only one of them was up for debate.

Either way, cry into your Buck-I-Guy autographed photos and get over it.  "Shit happens, bum juice" as the kids say these days!

People who moralize about players getting paid are such losers. Even worse are pieces of shit like the OP who thinks this is worth putting his unofficial detective on for.
