Harbaugh and NCAA Agreement is Off
Harbaugh expected to coach all games this year, guess we’ll see what happens after that
August 12th, 2023 at 5:03 PM ^
What happens after that: the NCAA gives itself a wedgie.

August 12th, 2023 at 7:39 PM ^
We need to all take turns giving Matt Dudek a wedgie.

Harbaugh's response to the NCAA:
August 12th, 2023 at 8:25 PM ^
"Jim Harbaugh? Who is Jim Harbaugh? My name is Coach Guy Incognito."
August 12th, 2023 at 8:47 PM ^
This is amazing
August 12th, 2023 at 11:39 PM ^
This needs to be on a t-shirt now. Hurry.
August 13th, 2023 at 8:39 AM ^
Why would Tacopants be wearing your boxer shorts?
August 13th, 2023 at 9:32 AM ^
From what I hear, Tacopants is also a big fan.
August 13th, 2023 at 11:01 AM ^
I miss MS Paint threads. Don't know how to do it or I would start one myself. Let me just drop in one from the master, Thujon of the Texas board Shaggy Bevo.
August 13th, 2023 at 5:20 PM ^
That was made by a UT fan? Talk about pot meet kettle. Just needs a point that says “TEXAS IS BACK, BABY”
August 12th, 2023 at 5:05 PM ^
Somehow this will turn out to be worse like suspension for the last 4 of the season. Because of course
August 12th, 2023 at 5:16 PM ^
I wish you didn't say that out loud. The organization that takes 11 months to decide if a player can play closer to home because his mom is sick will somehow get this to conclusion the week of Penn State. Book it
August 12th, 2023 at 6:58 PM ^
They take so long that the whole organization might collapse before they get to coach. Or the top leagues break away from the NCAA.
August 12th, 2023 at 7:15 PM ^
I recall Justin Fields describing the threatening, toxic, and racial environment at Georgia and requesting an exemption so he would have immediate eligibility to play at OSU.
And, somehow - his sister was able to thrive in that same environment.
August 13th, 2023 at 10:17 AM ^
I remember that too. What does it have to do with this? (serious question)
August 13th, 2023 at 6:05 PM ^
I think the reference is into the general ineptitude and inconsistency of the NCAA.
August 12th, 2023 at 5:51 PM ^
Probably more evidence of Harbaugh’s swan song at Michigan. Win it all and then head back to the NFL as the NCAA bans him for 12+ games and a show cause.
August 12th, 2023 at 5:58 PM ^
Probably not. Michigan is one of the sport’s biggest brands and Harbaugh only adds to that. More likely is that this will go away quietly.
August 12th, 2023 at 6:21 PM ^
Of all the biggest brand schools in football, which school do you think is most likely to follow a big NCAA penalty? If you don’t think Michigan you haven’t been paying attention.
August 12th, 2023 at 7:12 PM ^
I think the plan is win NCAA, leave program in excellent hands, go win a Super Bowl
August 13th, 2023 at 7:42 AM ^
This isn't basketball, wtf you talking about?
August 12th, 2023 at 6:32 PM ^
It will be worse because JH will be coaching in NFL next year
August 12th, 2023 at 7:42 PM ^
That is a dumb take. The punishment would be levied on Harbaugh, not the program. I think it's not unlikely Harbaugh goes to the NFL after this year, and if that happens with an NCAA show cause who cares? He's just pulling a Pete Carroll at that point.
If Harbaugh is punished "next year" and he's in the NFL, the consequences faced by Michigan will be trivial or non-existent.
August 12th, 2023 at 8:03 PM ^
Yeah people don’t want to believe it but that could be the play. This could be his last hurrah and then he’s off to the NFL. It would be a tough sell for him to come back anyway given how much talent will probably be leaving off of this team.
August 12th, 2023 at 9:13 PM ^
That has been my take since our bowl loss. I believe with a successful year Harbaugh rides off. We lose Corum, JJ, Edward's, etc. It because a rebuilding effort and Moore or someone will step up to be HC.
My belief in this really started when Harbaugh made that comment about how many head coaches are on his staff this year. Tells me he's looking at both succession plans and the likelihood that several assistants may be leaving.
August 13th, 2023 at 9:37 AM ^
When, user Blinkin said my take was dumb, so your going to have to change your opinion too.
it’s obvious that if UM wins the big, beats OSU and is in the finals, win or lose JH is gone after this year. There is a very good chance this is his last year.
August 13th, 2023 at 12:36 PM ^
User Blinken said that your take that "[sanctions] will be worse because JH will be coaching in NFL next year" was dumb, and he was right. If JH is gone to the NFL next year the whole level 1 violation issue disappears.
August 13th, 2023 at 2:05 PM ^
It will be worse because Harbaugh will be gone. That’s what’s worse, not the sanctions.
August 13th, 2023 at 7:30 PM ^
Clarification acknowledged. With that point, I agree.
August 12th, 2023 at 5:06 PM ^
Good, I hope we tell them to piss off. Only worry is if it dragging on causes JH to reconsider the NFL next year
August 12th, 2023 at 5:07 PM ^
Come on; that’s now going to happen every off season
August 12th, 2023 at 5:19 PM ^
Harbaugh does not want to serve a suspension. This isn’t surprising. He told them in January he wouldn’t serve one. Either they come up with a solution he’s OK with during the season or he will be headed to the NFL. Don’t be surprised if he leaves after this season, if this isn’t resolved.
August 12th, 2023 at 5:42 PM ^
I don’t see him leaving with questions about his integrity hanging over him.
EDIT: Just to be clear I have no concerns over his integrity. What I am saying is that if he leaves with this unresolved it looks as if he is fleeing NCAA sanctions. Harbaugh rightly won’t tolerate that. I believe he stays and fights this bullshit as he should.
August 12th, 2023 at 6:24 PM ^
NCAA being the arbiter of integrity? Surely you jest.
Guess the penalty for Tennessee paying players $60,000 directly from their head coach? Tennessee's Attorney General told the NCAA to go pound sand.
August 12th, 2023 at 10:02 PM ^
People severely misrepresent the Tennessee thing. The coach got fired for cause for that and gets no severance and has a show cause that will prevent him from being hired again. The Tennessee AG threatened that the ncaa couldn’t do anything to punish current players who had nothing to do with the issue. The comparison is between harbaugh and Pruitt and then it’s in fact clear the punishment for Pruitt is worse.
It doesn’t make the stuff around harbaugh any less dumb but I don’t know why people keep bringing up Tennessee like it proves anything
August 12th, 2023 at 11:31 PM ^
For the record, the NCAA said the issue isn't "cheeseburgers" and relates to a series of improper contact with recruits by M coaches, including Harbaugh, during the COVID dead period. Maybe that's true; maybe it's not. But fans have just gone with the "he just bought cheeseburgers" defense when it's not clear that that's really what this is about. We won't know till it all sorts out.
August 13th, 2023 at 7:46 AM ^
Shut Mackbro, it is just cheese burgers.
August 13th, 2023 at 10:22 AM ^
It IS clear that it's not about hamburgers. Lol
It's just hard for people to consider that their savior ever does wrong. Cognitive dissonance meets disingenuous.
August 12th, 2023 at 8:13 PM ^
There are no questions regarding his integrity. He bought a kid a hamburger and then brushed the NCAA off his shoulder. Nobody actually thinks this is concerning.
August 12th, 2023 at 5:50 PM ^
Could be why Elias Rudolph is trending to flip to Miami as well as the twins to Kentucky.
Harbaugh needs to look at all the possible costly after effects of his attitude and position.
He doesn’t have his value to Michigan overrated but his value to the NCAA is in the gutter.
Harbaugh is becoming a drama dog - he needs to wise up or ship out because this is not a good situation for Michigan football or recruiting.
Yes Jim - your shit stinks too.
August 12th, 2023 at 5:58 PM ^
This is an extremely dumb take on this situation. No one has any details regarding this matter other than the NCAA coming out with some minor details on Harbaugh doing something over Covid. Since then Harbaugh has completely turned our program around and brought in a fantastic coaching staff that has consistently coached up our players to play most of the times above their recruiting rankings. If a recruit has decided not to come to Michigan in the last month or so since this story has come out, it has very little to do with this situation. Also, screw the NCAA!
August 12th, 2023 at 6:09 PM ^
Talking about,"Mr Canthelpit!" You are a tired alien, schtick.
August 12th, 2023 at 6:09 PM ^
I find it really irritating when I have to find my login information simply to downvote a post, but it is what it is!
August 12th, 2023 at 6:12 PM ^
Texas spends $280K for Arch Manning’s official visit and there’s no issue.
Harbaugh buys a couple of signed players a Brown Jug cheeseburger when CV was raging and university access was restricted - and they’re talking suspension.
Yeah, the NCAA is objective…,no question about it…
August 12th, 2023 at 6:20 PM ^
You are literally the worst poster on this board...by a country mile. Please, please, please stop posting.
I assume that you are just an MSU or OSU troll but you are bad even by those standards.
August 12th, 2023 at 6:24 PM ^
Jim’s shit doesn’t stink, he uses the Pooph spray
August 12th, 2023 at 6:30 PM ^
Spoken like a true troll.
