Georgia Southern Suspends Player for Chugging a Beer Atop a Team Bus
Yep, the team takes a yellow bus a short distance for home games and a fan tossed him a beer so he opened it and chugged it. Why were players on top of the bus? ??♂️ Did the coach get fired? Yep.

Pretty good hands for a D-lineman.

Nice balance, good center of gravity too. Keep an eye out for him if he hits the transfer portal. Can never have too much raw talent on the DL.

Thus must have great pad level!

This is why this post correctly isn't marked as off topic.

Andy Dufresne would have shared that beer.

I think a man workin' outdoors feels more like a man if he can have a bottle of suds, on top of a moving bus.
September 29th, 2021 at 1:58 PM ^
That's some Stone Cold Steve Austin levels of catch'n'chug action right there!
September 29th, 2021 at 1:59 PM ^
That's f-ing boss right there.
September 29th, 2021 at 3:41 PM ^
Serious! Suspend him? Hell no, give him an award for coolest guy ever! Surfing a bus and catching an object is tough, then chugging a beer on top of said moving bus all while you are pre-game? That is some good stuff.
September 29th, 2021 at 5:36 PM ^
So, because the players were on top of the bus they threw the coach under the bus.
September 29th, 2021 at 5:57 PM ^
If I were a local beer distributor, brewery anything of the ilk Id be having this guy in my commercials and ads stat.

Should be some NIL deals coming his way.

I believe she calls it "foolsball".

Well, I apparently have been mishearing this since it came out, and also, that's stupid.
September 29th, 2021 at 3:56 PM ^
Mandela effect.
September 29th, 2021 at 4:00 PM ^
No Mandela effect; 100% have always thought it was foosball since I first saw the movie.

Good work on the OP title. Just let the event speak for itself and clicks will follow.

Half the users here would have titled it "Gavin Adcock"
September 29th, 2021 at 2:08 PM ^
He's not the hero we asked for, but he may just be the one we need right now.
September 29th, 2021 at 4:34 PM ^
He drinks as good as an aircrew five min after the crew bus leaves.
September 29th, 2021 at 9:20 PM ^
Five minutes? What took you slick drivers so long?
September 29th, 2021 at 2:20 PM ^
Georgia Southern fires their coach who has made three bowl games in three years (what more are they expecting at a place like Georgia Southern), and will have to pay his buy out plus hire a new guy but they cant afford to drive their players to the stadium in anything better than an old, yellow, school bus.
September 29th, 2021 at 3:36 PM ^
Probably a lot happening outside of football success. Like your players riding on top of a bus slamming beers lol. Something tells me his program is a mess.
September 29th, 2021 at 11:04 PM ^
Seems likely since the team seems to be having a wild party just after losing their 3rd straight game.
September 29th, 2021 at 2:20 PM ^
Ok the "before the game" helps clarify and make sense of the suspension. Fired coach huh? In week 4. Probably money well spent since things are going so swimmingly for ADS these days.
September 29th, 2021 at 9:38 PM ^
Yeah, "before" the game is definitely the kicker here. Don't do that.
I say that as someone who, in my younger days, thought it was a good idea to do a shot before a job interview (did that twice). One time I did get an offer - but still, it was reckless.
September 29th, 2021 at 2:22 PM ^
If you would've told me this happened during a random Wednesday in April at like 10:36am in Georgia, I would've believed it as well. Is this not common place for most southern FBS schools?
September 29th, 2021 at 2:23 PM ^
They need to rethink this, I'm pretty sure if someone throws you a beer while you are standing on a moving bus going to a football game you have to chug it. I don't see any other option here.
September 29th, 2021 at 2:30 PM ^
It’s reflex. The scientific method has proven this.
September 29th, 2021 at 3:35 PM ^
I think you can also shotgun it, but the theory still stands: consuming it is mandatory.
September 29th, 2021 at 3:50 PM ^
You can’t recycle a full can. Dude was just looking out for Mother Earth.
September 29th, 2021 at 2:25 PM ^
So the lesson is that drinking beer is bad. Stick to moonshine.

September 29th, 2021 at 3:02 PM ^
Hell yeah - did you see that catch?
September 29th, 2021 at 3:05 PM ^
I mean, this is what college kids do in movies! This is awesome! I suspect this guy goes by 'Ogre' at frat parties and is the one that smashes the beer can against in forehead. No doubt the geeks in the room run from him screaming their heads off...
