What I also don't miss is RR's constant blaming the fans for a lack of knowledge. As if someone has the gall to know something about an oblong leather ball...

Good to know players aren't being coddled and like in the real world have to admit to facts as they exist. Get burned? Admit you were burned and go out there and don't let it happen again.

These are from the 70s. I don't think there can be an argument these aren't classic. Sure Maize pants are "original" so to speak but nothing makes this look "uniformz" in the slightest.

Belleville one of 94 is my favorite one.

But that is logical.

Just remember everyone was giddy with the Nussmeir hire and that didn't work out well either. Just because someone transitions to a new gig doesn't mean doom. People have to get promoted at some point and if JH is happy to do that for Michigan than we all should be. If you're for us, you're for us!

Goes the Harbaugh!!

What did Harbaugh!! say when he was introduced at the game? Any chants?

If it doesn't happen, Bursley is officially at fault.

Just to feed the beast a little: what if he wore that as an undershirt as a subtle message to Hackett that he was accepting the job.

The group think on this board is becoming awful. Just because someone has a view/opinion/report that does not align with your personal desires does not give justification to completely write someone off as a has been. Big whoop. He reported/tweeted something you didn't like. Carry on and embrace it.

Pelini as DC for les is more with associate head coach/coach in waiting title.

I'm sure miles will keep the pipeline and contacts he created in LA for the benefit of Michigan.

I'm going all in on the miles bandwagon.

I've tried to invoke your powers on a few occasions with limited success. You are powerful O'Raback-One
|48 weeks 5 days ago||AD the coach now?||
I love how commenters seem to think the AD has a direct correlation to wins on the field. President Schlissel wants someone who will run a clean department that prides itself on academics. It isn't like the AD will be coaching the team ala Brandon. Schlissel even admitted the AD will run athletics, all of them. If any of the candidates aren't corrupt let him/her oversee M.

Last three years O$U didn't care we were wounded or re-building, they called it a victory all the same. To hell with that idea. They have some of the best recruits money can buy and we still beat them. We have the same team as last year and this year we outcoached them and outmanned them. They are sore losers (see the classless bucknuts thread on the 'Board) let's not lend them any credit they don't deserve.
|4 years 38 weeks ago||From Wikepedia||
Why aren't people more open about his coaching past. He has lineage to the Harbaugh family AND coached under Carr:
I've always liked the Hokester and I think it is a great hire. Besides, it only takes the first three games (wins) for him to get to .500 - then no one can complain he is a sub-500 coach.
|4 years 38 weeks ago||Everyone needs to relax...||
Good gosh, how quickly the tide turns on this board. So what. So we missed out on a coach that may or may not have even been offered a job. So we missed out on a guy with questionable clock management skills and that sorely lacks scruples in player relations. We don't know anything that is going on with this search.
For all of you RR lovers, I'm surprised you're not taking his advice and "getting a life." There is more to U of M than Brandon flying around the country trying to gauge interests and ask people for their insights. There is also more to this world than to call for an AD's job after a coaching search that, by all indications, he is taking his time with. OMG, we miss out on a 4 star recruit from BFE - BIG DEAL. I am sure there is more to the story than we all can speculate. Brandon knows what he is doing, relax.
As for the search, let's see what we have learned:
1) Harbaugh dreamed of going to the NFL, and earned his right to choose to pursue his dream
2) Les Miles was considered by all to have a spot at the table if Harbaugh pursued his dreams, but, if you paid any attention to Les you heard him promise his players and school that he would be back next season - looking back, that wasn't coach speak. Maybe he does honor his word.
3) Brady Hoke has professed his undying love for U of M and that he would take this job in a moment's notice. Don't we want someone who WANTS to be here, who can put together an amazing staff of coordinators, and win us 9-13 games per year? Sounds pretty good to me. Lloyd lite all you want, but, I won't complain. My hat has always been in the Hoke basket.
IMO, we all just need to let the rest of the process unfold. Who knows. Maybe Brandon left last night because he knew that Les was committed to LSU, so, he just pinged him about Hoke and other topics. The 4pm meeting was also called before Les and Brandon met. Maybe Brandon already knew something? Let's just enjoy being M fans/almuni.
Now, do as I do and:

I heard from someone high up in the food chain that Les to M is done and tomorrow is a formality. Take it what it's worth, but, worth seconding this post.

Since posting new forums is still fickle, consider this thread hijacked with some fresh news:
|4 years 39 weeks ago||Nope||
|4 years 39 weeks ago||If You're going to do this then why||
If you're going to this argument, then how can anyone be so high on Rich Rod? He is a 43-43 career coach that, save three seasons AFTER MIAMI (YTM), BC, AND VTech left the BigEast, didn't and does not have much of a track record of success.
Bottom line is that you cannot look at a candidate and say well, inferior competition, rabble rabble rabble...
If Hoke is the higher, I think it would be good for the University. If Miles is the hire, I think it would be good for the University. If Coker is the hire, I think it would be good for the University. You following me?
