Big 10 Championship Game vs. Purdue
Purdue is currently up by two touchdowns against Indiana with less than 8 minutes left in the ballgame. Michigan most likely will play them next Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium. What would you like to see next Saturday and moving forward?
I hope for a Michigan victory in the championship game without risking further injury to our players. A first round playoff matchup vs. TCU would be ideal for us.

Dr. Jaws and I, ‘CAN’T WAIT!’
November 26th, 2022 at 6:24 PM ^
Hoping for a healthy Corum first and foremost!
November 26th, 2022 at 6:45 PM ^
Maybe sit him and get him some rest before the playoffs. We should be able to beat Pur-don’t the same way we beat the Illini.
November 26th, 2022 at 7:13 PM ^
And another middling big ten team, OSU?
November 26th, 2022 at 6:24 PM ^
Great, so home state advantage for Purdue. Hope Michigan can pull it off.
Edit:
Guess I should have added the /s
November 26th, 2022 at 6:27 PM ^
I'd wager the stadium is still 75%+ M fans.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:40 PM ^
Yep. UM fans are going to outbid for tickets online. I am thinking about doing that.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:58 PM ^
Hotel space will be harder to get than tickets
November 26th, 2022 at 8:39 PM ^
I feel most Purdue fans will be within driving distance of home and not need a hotel.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:51 PM ^
The most critical thing the last two years for our group has been booking lodging first and worrying about tickets later.
November 26th, 2022 at 7:06 PM ^
I think you are overestimating how many Purdue fans there are
November 26th, 2022 at 9:22 PM ^
Definitely laughed out loud at that one.
November 26th, 2022 at 7:21 PM ^
This ain’t gonna be a basketball game, my friend. That stadium will be at least 65-75% Michigan fans. Most Purdue fans aren’t going to want to pay to come watch a shellacking.
Purdue will be ready to play but they will have Michigan’s complete, undivided attention. Michigan should beat them unless Michigan beats itself or Purdue uses its once every 2-3 year card where it goes all world on a top-5 opponent.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:56 PM ^
It’s their first appearance and I’m sure their fans will show up, shellacking or not, just as M fans would.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:26 PM ^
Indiana's laughable run offense is making Purdue's run defense look like butt, so we likely have zero concerns on that side of the ball.
Some folks are worried about our ability to stop the pass, but Purdue isn't even a discount OSU. Chuck Sizzle is good and Payne's tough in the redzone, but I think their offense in general is overrated.
November 26th, 2022 at 8:49 PM ^
O'Connell is a statue. He will be under duress all evening.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:27 PM ^
Time and ball control. Get Stokes back to earlier in the year 12 yard runs. Jesse smothering another passing game. Coverage was pretty good even on their big plays so hats off to them on those. Could you tell which were Michigans 5 stars out there today? Just imagine double that number or more.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:27 PM ^
Michigan will be a 14 point favorite. Don’t read your press clippings, boys.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:37 PM ^
They are on a mission and have excellent team leadership. Notice no reaction to the provocations?
November 26th, 2022 at 7:19 PM ^
They were very disciplined today, it was noticeable.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:28 PM ^
Purdue is Ohio lite lite. Can’t sleep on them, but I feel better about them than Illinois.
Happy for Purdue and the big drum to snap their drought and make it to the B1G title game, 9th team in the big to do so, but their first trip needs to be a “just happy to be there” experience
November 26th, 2022 at 6:51 PM ^
Purdue has great fans and is a fun team to like. They are likely to say “excuse me” in the tunnel when they brush up against a Michigan player. We’ll politely dispatch them in the B1G Championship and they will thank us for the loss.
November 26th, 2022 at 8:44 PM ^
Their coach, in the post game Interview, seemed like a good guy.
November 26th, 2022 at 8:51 PM ^
Maybe he's mellowed since 2017. He seemed pretty uneven when Michigan last played them. Their DC at the time, Nick Holt, was also quite unstable.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:31 PM ^
Definitely feels like it will be Purdue. And, I honestly prefer UMs chances against the Boilers, even though I think they could handle a rematch with IL or IA. But, I think Brohm has been outmatched against Harbaugh and that will continue.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:32 PM ^
I think everyone would like to play against the Horned Frogs, but what if this win gets us to first place? I think we'd be deserving, but I think the 4th seed may be a tougher out than TCU. Not that it matters, bring them on!
November 26th, 2022 at 6:39 PM ^
We won't jump Georgia unless they really struggle or outright lose.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:32 PM ^
Revenge game for Speight!
November 26th, 2022 at 6:33 PM ^
Rest who we need to for the playoffs. Purdue isn’t physical enough to play with us.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:33 PM ^
I wonder if Harbaugh will treat this similarly to the Illinois game, holding out anyone who is slightly hurt?
I guess with 4 weeks to prepare that's not as important?
November 26th, 2022 at 6:51 PM ^
It will be difficult for Blake Corum to be better than 90% in Indy. Mike Morris didn't play on defense today. Schoonmaker was out there but he might have had one pass thrown his way today so hopefully, he'll be close to 100% in Indy.
This is a must win game as Michigan must close the deal and beat Purdue and they'll pull out all of stops and open up the playbook like they did last at Indy against Iowa.
November 26th, 2022 at 8:55 PM ^
Have to disagree. Michigan will certainly play to win but I don't think they need to go into the bag of tricks in order to prevail comfortably.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:11 PM ^
The team wants to win back to back Big Ten titles first and foremost. Anyone who can go will go in this game particularly because you get time to heal after the Big Ten title game. I mean they are all but in the playoff regardless but the Big Ten title and finishing that means a ton to this team.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:34 PM ^
I'm happy it's Purdue. Very little is more boring in college football than rematches.
November 26th, 2022 at 8:02 PM ^
I want a gloriously boring Big Ten Championship Game. Another anxiety free, celebratory blowout is what I'm wanting. Can't wait to buy more "Big Ten Champions" aparrell when I'm back in Michigan for the holidays.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:36 PM ^
Not sure. But by halftime someone is probably going to call up The Hague to report Michigan's crimes against humanity.
Purdue is not a good football team.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:37 PM ^
We will be facing Purdue next Saturday night. That's OK. The Boilers have pretty good passing game.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:44 PM ^
We shut down Stroud and Harrison... I am confident in our D vs Purdue.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:46 PM ^
Sadly I’m Hoping they don’t put Buckeyes in as a 4 now. Assuming we win next week we may pair well as a 2-3 with TCU. If OSU shocks UGA I don’t know if my ticker could handle it.
one game at a time, beat Pur-who and let the rest sort itself out. Onward and upward!
November 26th, 2022 at 8:26 PM ^
Even if they get in and beat Georgia, bring it. Michigan beat them in the snow, they beat them in their prime optimal weather conditions today. And they did it without their best player.
You get Corum back? That final result is Michigan easily winning by 4 TDs.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:46 PM ^
I like the matchup with Purdue. The Illini defense is better than what the buckeyes showed us today so good riddance to them. Plus, I don't like rematches so not to worry.
A must win game in Indy but my confidence factor is very high. Let JJ throw, let Michigan run and let the Michigan defense so it's thing and crush the Boilermakers.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:46 PM ^
It's Purdue and that's great. Didn't want to see Illinois again until next year. Rest up Corum, win the game, and get ready for TCU.
November 26th, 2022 at 6:49 PM ^
Today was the B1G Championship, but by so means: Beat Purdue!
November 26th, 2022 at 7:33 PM ^
I’m just hoping Corum is 100% before the CFP. Get all of these guys healthy again.
November 26th, 2022 at 7:56 PM ^
Does anyone know when the Michigan ticket office will tell season ticket holders whether they got B1G championship tickets from our allocation? I put in for them a few weeks ago, think it's some kind of weighted lottery.
November 26th, 2022 at 7:58 PM ^
I’d imagine we revert back to old form and try to run the ball and quick passes. Probably going to look close going into the second half but it will be more of the same the previous weeks before OSU.
November 26th, 2022 at 8:33 PM ^
I like our chances!
November 26th, 2022 at 8:58 PM ^
Stay focused and finish the job.
November 26th, 2022 at 10:31 PM ^
This Michigan team is good at staying in the moment. Coming off a huge win might normally be a tendency to let down. Like Michigan's chances of focusing well and handling their business next week. Win the game. Beat Purdue.
November 26th, 2022 at 10:33 PM ^
Should bring back Wilton Speight to be an honorary captain. Wolverines never forget, Purdue.
