Big 10 Championship Game vs. Purdue

Submitted by sdogg1m on November 26th, 2022 at 6:21 PM

Purdue is currently up by two touchdowns against Indiana with less than 8 minutes left in the ballgame. Michigan most likely will play them next Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium. What would you like to see next Saturday and moving forward?

I hope for a Michigan victory in the championship game without risking further injury to our players. A first round playoff matchup vs. TCU would be ideal for us.

This ain’t gonna be a basketball game, my friend. That stadium will be at least 65-75% Michigan fans. Most Purdue fans aren’t going to want to pay to come watch a shellacking.

Purdue will be ready to play but they will have Michigan’s complete, undivided attention. Michigan should beat them unless Michigan beats itself or Purdue uses its once every 2-3 year card where it goes all world on a top-5 opponent.

Indiana's laughable run offense is making Purdue's run defense look like butt, so we likely have zero concerns on that side of the ball.

Some folks are worried about our ability to stop the pass, but Purdue isn't even a discount OSU. Chuck Sizzle is good and Payne's tough in the redzone, but I think their offense in general is overrated.

Time and ball control. Get Stokes back to earlier in the year 12 yard runs. Jesse smothering another passing game. Coverage was pretty good even on their big plays so hats off to them on those. Could you tell which were Michigans 5 stars out there today? Just imagine double that number or more.

Purdue is Ohio lite lite. Can’t sleep on them, but I feel better about them than Illinois.

Happy for Purdue and the big drum to snap their drought and make it to the B1G title game, 9th team in the big to do so, but their first trip needs to be a “just happy to be there” experience

Definitely feels like it will be Purdue. And, I honestly prefer UMs chances against the Boilers, even though I think they could handle a rematch with IL or IA. But, I think Brohm has been outmatched against Harbaugh and that will continue.

I think everyone would like to play against the Horned Frogs, but what if this win gets us to first place? I think we'd be deserving, but I think the 4th seed may be a tougher out than TCU. Not that it matters, bring them on!

It will be difficult for Blake Corum to be better than 90% in Indy. Mike Morris didn't play on defense today. Schoonmaker was out there but he might have had one pass thrown his way today so hopefully, he'll be close to 100% in Indy.

This is a must win game as Michigan must close the deal and beat Purdue and they'll pull out all of stops and open up the playbook like they did last at Indy against Iowa.

Sadly I’m Hoping they don’t put Buckeyes in as a 4 now. Assuming we win next week we may pair well as a 2-3 with TCU.  If OSU shocks UGA I don’t know if my ticker could handle it.

one game at a time, beat Pur-who and let the rest sort itself out.  Onward and upward!

I like the matchup with Purdue. The Illini defense is better than what the buckeyes showed us today so good riddance to them. Plus, I don't like rematches so not to worry.

A must win game in Indy but my confidence factor is very high. Let JJ throw, let Michigan run and let the Michigan defense so it's thing and crush the Boilermakers.

Does anyone know when the Michigan ticket office will tell season ticket holders whether they got B1G championship tickets from our allocation? I put in for them a few weeks ago, think it's some kind of weighted lottery.

I’d imagine we revert back to old form and try to run the ball and quick passes. Probably going to look close going into the second half but it will be more of the same the previous weeks before OSU.

This Michigan team is good at staying in the moment.  Coming off a huge win might normally be a tendency to let down.  Like Michigan's chances of focusing well and handling their business next week.  Win the game.  Beat Purdue.
