The Frank Clark Conundrum
I was always a big fan of Frank Clark when he was at Michigan but, the reason for his departure was awful. Admittedly I was much younger then and I don’t remember how that all played out (with the charges, I know he left the program). I was curious if most were happy he is now a Super Bowl champion or if there is a general indifference towards it?
Either way I’m glad Andy Reid finally won one.

He's not even the worst person on the Chiefs...Tyreek Hill is celebrated and everybody forgets his issues. It's the NFL, these players can and do get away with a lot.
February 3rd, 2020 at 9:45 AM ^
Is Tyreek Hill worse, or are they equally bad?
February 3rd, 2020 at 9:49 AM ^
I consider him worse because he has had multiple issues of domestic violence that are more recent. He's a repeat offender that really is lucky to be where he is today
February 3rd, 2020 at 10:38 AM ^
Tyreek Hill didn't dispute the accusation that he punches his 3 year old in the chest. I believe he ended up responding to his ex with "you should be terrified of me too, bitch" instead of disputing that accusation. His son was removed from his custody because he's a complete piece of shit.
Don't forget Terrell Suggs. Another great dude on the Chiefs. Beat his fiance, held her down on the ground, and threatened to pour bleach down her throat. Good thing he also flung bleach on his child during that fine moment of his life.
February 3rd, 2020 at 10:51 AM ^
I was particularly shocked to see Tyreek Hill with his son on his shoulders after their win last night.

Man, it's almost like they are experiencing symptoms of CTE, such as behavioral problems and problems regulating their emotions, from the years of hits taken playing football. But nah, i don't believe in science, they are probably just assholes for no reason.
February 3rd, 2020 at 9:48 AM ^
I think everyone can have redemption. I have no idea what kind of man Frank is today. Hopefully he has changed and learned a lesson from some atrocious behavior.
It is kind of a bummer that 2 of the best Michigan players in the NFL...Lewan and Clark...have the reputation of being massive DB's.
February 3rd, 2020 at 9:51 AM ^
It is unfortunate but it’s only that way because they’ve had time to establish a body of work. There’s still plenty of young guys that can outshine some of that, they just need time to establish themselves.
February 3rd, 2020 at 9:53 AM ^
Two things:
a. Tom Brady still exists.
2. Star players often get reputations for being massive DB's. The more publicity you get, the more opportunities there are for people to tear you down. There are certainly numerous exceptions (Pat Mahomes, Drew Brees, J.J. Watt, etc.), but most people who make a lot of money or achieve a certain status have a group of people thinking they're assholes.
d. Chad Henne is a Super Bowl-winning QB.
February 3rd, 2020 at 10:13 AM ^
So Henne is at four? Perhaps the list should've ended before that.
February 3rd, 2020 at 4:15 PM ^
What happened to b. and c.?
February 3rd, 2020 at 6:19 PM ^
What happened to anyone having a sense of humor?
February 3rd, 2020 at 10:53 AM ^
I think there is a massive difference between:
A. "You are a massive DB because you make a lot of money and I am jealous and therefore looking for reasons for you to be a DB."
B. "You abuse women, are a horrible teammate, and labeled a jackass bully by multiple Wolverines"
Both Frank and Taylor are the second option.
Also, Henne isn't a "Super Bowl Winning QB". Mahomes is a "Super Bowl Winning QB". Henne happens to be a backup QB on a team that won the Super Bowl. That is also a massive difference.
February 3rd, 2020 at 11:24 AM ^
I largely agree save some on the A grouping are db's because of how they treat people.
February 3rd, 2020 at 11:27 AM ^
I'm glad you took my response seriously, because it totally was.
February 3rd, 2020 at 12:53 PM ^
To anyone who has read your posts, A 2 d should have been a dead giveaway.
February 3rd, 2020 at 4:02 PM ^
As far as Henne goes you are right obviously, but at the same time the dude has become a career backup NFL QB. Over a decade in the league making millions to be an emergency back up and now he has one more ring than Marino (which still hurts me personally). This guy is living Alex Moran's dream.
February 3rd, 2020 at 4:30 PM ^
I'll just ignore the pic Denard posted, I guess.
February 3rd, 2020 at 12:12 PM ^
I totally disagree! Most stars in all of sports are generally good dudes! And have reputations as such...the DB’s just get highlighted more because of it. There are more stars like Mahomes, Fitzgerald, & Watt than there are AB’s.
February 4th, 2020 at 12:14 PM ^
Taylor Lewan was a DB before the money.
February 3rd, 2020 at 11:49 AM ^
To be fair ,there are a ton of POS people in sports that are getting "love" because they were born with a freak gift or size. Some reason people forget how horrible these people have been at some point Zeke Elliott ,Rey Lewis,Kobe Tyreke Hill its a very long list

They really are much too big to be DBs.
February 3rd, 2020 at 4:53 PM ^
February 3rd, 2020 at 11:29 AM ^
The worst person on the Chiefs is definitely Tyrann Mathieu for his use of synthetic weed.
Neither Clark or Hill had to miss a whole season for their offenses!
February 3rd, 2020 at 11:56 AM ^
I laughed. NCAA in a nutshell right there.
February 3rd, 2020 at 2:10 PM ^
Seriously. Somehow in the NCAA it goes:
weed > taking "loans" > domestic abuse (during season) > punching dudes in the nuts > domestic abuse (during offseason)
And I love it how if your domestic abuse/DUI/felony occurs before the summer, you're given enough time to redeem yourself before missing the first series of the first game against Louisiana Eastern Tech State A&M U.
February 3rd, 2020 at 5:42 PM ^
The chiefs are kind of the poster child for winning erases all ills. That team had a lot of guys with issues they just ignored to win and they were still the fun 'underdog' story everyone rooted for because it had been so long since they won a superbowl.
Its pretty gross.

My happiness was loudmouth Sherman looking like a fraud and he, Bosa and Jed York being sent home ringless
February 3rd, 2020 at 9:48 AM ^
Sherman getting burned on that route when the Chiefs were driving and down 10 did make me smile.
February 3rd, 2020 at 9:58 AM ^
That was the play of the game and really what turned the game around in my opinion. He was destroyed on that play and is what led to that huge comeback. Getting beat couldn’t have happened to a better player either. Sherman publicly talks shit far too much.
February 3rd, 2020 at 10:46 AM ^
He's definitely not the same player he was 4-5 years ago. Still good, but nowhere near the shutdown corner that he was in his prime in Seattle.
February 3rd, 2020 at 12:42 PM ^
The play of the game was when SF had KC in 3rd and 15 but then busted and left that guy all alone 40 yards downfield.
February 3rd, 2020 at 1:49 PM ^
especially when you consider that guy was hill, their best athlete. up 10 with 7 minutes left, and on the heels of an overturned conversion. post corner to the leagues fastest player. 49ers blew that one. massive play
February 3rd, 2020 at 11:25 AM ^
Not to mention missing the tackle on the first Williams TD.
February 3rd, 2020 at 11:37 AM ^
I can’t believe the media even mentions Sherman in the same sentence as Dion Sanders it’s laughable. Sherman couldnt even play below average man defense even when he was in his prime.
February 3rd, 2020 at 1:06 PM ^
I don't get the love affair of Sherman either. To his credit he was very good in what he did with zone and man zone concepts. And he was solid against some big receivers in man coverage. But the weaker member and fortunate to play with the Legion of Boom and a great defense. Smart enough to find his niche and play in it. But overall far better players at the same position all over the league.
February 3rd, 2020 at 5:59 PM ^
Its pretty sad that people have more of a problem with Sherman speaking his mind and talking trash on the field than a different team with multiple abusers playing.
In the NFL its better to punch a woman then speak your mind if you want to keep your job. That is pretty fucked.
February 3rd, 2020 at 9:41 AM ^
We need a good Frank Clark or Taylor Lewan post every day to stir the pot
February 3rd, 2020 at 11:55 PM ^
They're both chodes.
February 3rd, 2020 at 9:42 AM ^
I don't really care what Michigan players do in the NFL. Frank Clark winning a Super Bowl doesn't make me feel any better that Michigan hasn't beaten OSU since, like, the Reagan administration.
February 3rd, 2020 at 9:46 AM ^
Not since James K. Polk, the 11th president.
February 3rd, 2020 at 10:01 AM ^
Nice James K Polk reference. He was always one of my favorites in school because he invented the mullet

But he's no Millard Fillmore!
