He and my wife are from the same hometown, and he's her 2nd cousin or something. I've never met him, rest of my family has. They're all Alabama alumnae - one uncle played for Bear Bryant. But... college athelete, Alabama, etc. I'm going to catch all kinds of crap about the game, one way or another.

I met George Clinton (and his hair) in a Burger King in Adrian, MI. Also saw him grocery shopping in Meijers there once. That was surreal. My wife (literally) bumped into Evander Holyfield at the ATL airport several years ago. He was standing right at the top of one of the long escalators with his back to her, and she wasn't watching where she was going - she bounced off him and landed on the floor. He helped her up and was very nice. She recognized him but was too embarrassed to say much. /cool story bro.

The CFO of my company distributed his annual Christmas card last December, and there on the back, in the picture of CFO's son in the front row of the stadium - right next to him, even - Lloyd Brady. The man is everywhere.

I spent that weekend in New Orleans (dodging possible Y2K power outages in the cold/celebrating New Years) with my new wife's family -- ALL Alabama graduates & fans. That was the only time I've ever cheered quietly for a Michigan win. Good times. Thanks for posting

| 2 years 20 weeks ago | XSS, not SSL |
The error message suggested it was an XSS issue (Cross-Site-Scripting attack). Some comment or title posted to the site contained a web-browser instruction to load a script from the (whatever).co.cc site that would try to do nasty things to any browser/computer that opened it. If anything, it was just a clever bit of attack vector that the existing MGoCode to prohibit such attempts didn't catch and stop. The clean-up steps are pretty straight-forward: Find and remove the script instruction. Close the loophole that allowed it to get posted in the first place. [Edit: Those are the web cleanup steps, fyi. Naturally, once your own computer has been molested by the script, a good antivirus, Mal-ware bytes cleanup, etc. is called for on your end] A security cert (SSL) wouldn't have stopped that. |

That's who that was? That was foul. Yes, thanks for getting rid of that. |

Can it hide the post, but show a button to toggle it back on? Some reply threads don't quote the idiocy that they're responding to, and are funnier when you can see the original stupidity for yourself. Either way, nice job |

The next time you interview for a job, let us know how it goes when you expect the hiring manager to give your current boss a courtesy call about the interview appointment. I'm thinking your availability to start the new job will go from 2 weeks to immediate. Also... BH's contract was up. He had not renewed it. A courtesy call would be in order if you're meeting with someone already under contract, or someone already negotiating an extension... BH was very publicly known not to be discussing it with SDSU at all (yet?). |

A buddy of mine calls hockey games for Adrian College, who played on the rink @Michigan Stadium on Dec. 4th. He blogged this:
