Did something change in the URL of this site?

I don't know what happened or why it happened, but I can no longer log on to this site at work. Just started yesterday. Anyone else have this happen. My phone still let's me.

Yes I got a similar error message yesterday and then a few minutes later it was blocked by my employer’s IT screening as not business related. So I attributed it to that. Now I must use mobile.

My IT blocked mgoblog today. They say its unsecure and may hack our network. I laughed

Must be weather related

If a bunch of you all got hit at once your IT department probably use cloudsources allow and block lists.  You're probably both running off the same generic listing and mgoblog got added.

However for the one who mentioned it as a security, if it was they may be blanket blocking all sites with a certain protocol.  It's probably just a canned message and it's blocked for content non work related.

If MGOBLOG was blocked at work I'd just use my phone, or idk unblock it myself since I have access to.

Lotto site was getting blocked for gambling when the jackpots were record that was funny, was tempted to unblock but easier to say, "Well technically it is gambling and not work related".

My 2 cents. I doubt it was a targeted block based upon search history.  Also if you think using incognito or inPrivate will help, that's only for local files.  Usually it's logged on the firewall.  There are stupid easy programs to use to scan all your history to run a nice report if you don't delete it though.  I'd still say it was likely blanket cloud source lists and likely nothing to actually do with you accessing it necessitating the block.

Or it could be network bandwidth is constrained so they were looking for commonly hit non-work related sites.

I think OpenDNS somehow flagged the site has having some "negative" facet about it related to domain parking.

I also see that right now I can access it again on that network, so maybe they got their extortion payment, or worked their crap out.

IT blocked it for me last night actually and I emailed them saying I use the site to listen to podcasts at work and they opened it up. Very few sites are actually blocked by my firm so something must be wrong on the back end.

Something is up - there was a post of a "Iggy Pick & Pop" (or something along those lines) article on the Mgo-Twitter Feed this morning with a link that takes you to the "access denied" page and hasn't yet shown up on the homepage.

I'm sure Brian and Seth are working on it...

This site got blocked for me yesterday as well on my work's network.  Something about a security issue with the URL, nothing about the site itself.  Something must have changed this morning though as I'm able to get to it now.

So I sent a note to my IT team yesterday and came in this morning to a response:

"We have observed that Cisco categorized the URL as Parked domains, which is due to Malware content found in the domain/website.

Please check with the concerned website owner/application team to resolve the issue."

But looks like the site works just fine today at work. Something must have been fixed overnight.
