There are plenty of athletes of different sports sponsored by Jumpman including Derek Jeter, Dez Bryant, a few boxers, among others.

I agree that it feels weird at first having a logo of a basketball player on the uniform, but I think it's a really cool idea for younger people including athletes. Being associated with Michael Jordan among a generation of shoe-obsessed athletes is a positive.

It's different, but I'm excited about it. I'm also worried. I also just want football to start.

This is actually not true. Jordan Brand has been making cleats for Football for at least 3-5 yrs now. Dez, Michael Crabtree, Earl Thomas are a few guys to be sporting retro Jordans as cleats.

Derek Jeter was also sponsored by Jordan Brand. So that's Baseball. Roger Federer has worn a Jordan hybrid shoe mimicking the Jordan III's so they've dipped their toes in Tennis. Oh and that Federer/Jordan shoe is super rare and sought after by sneakerheads of any genre.

Jordan already makes all the spandex and base layer gear for Basketball that they can easily make for football.

The parent company for Jordan is  Nike, who is at the top of the industry for Football. Not to mention the fact that when you get Jordan, it's basically an add-on to Nike. So you get all the nike you need and can also wear Jordan gear so I don't see ANY downgrades or issues here.

Also, Leaders and Best. Innovating and getting the single most well known athlete in all of america and likely the world to say Go Blue doesn't hurt.

Can't wait to buy all the Michigan colored JB Gear and shoes. This WILL be huge for recruiting, you can bank on it.

Demaryius Thomas was wearing Jordan cleats when I was at Broncos camp last Friday and the only Broncos player in them. They looked sharp and stood out amongst all the other NIKE the rest had on.

Guy next to me kept talking about them which is only reason I noticed.

Comments like that show how out of touch some of you are. Jordans come out pretty much every other week ranging from $175-$225 and sell out within hours.

Those 16-17 year old kids camp and lineup outside at odd times of the morning just to get a pair. People still get beat up and robbed for them.

So again, a little out of touch on this one.

This is next level type stuff right here.

Also the number one TE recruit had to say this:

Isaac Nauta, an ESPN 300 tight end target, agrees with Craig-Myers and says it's something that he was excited about right away.

"I love the Jordan brand and I was super happy Michigan went with Nike," Nauta said. "Everyone loves to be decked out in the best and newest gear, so that definitely helps."

I don't think I'm a fan (think... I'll reserve ultimate judgement), because I wouldn't really want the jumpman logo on the uniform.

If the players wear Jumpman cleats and/or gloves, I'm fine with that.

Interesting how many negs (and pos's) I'm getting for sharing an opinion, though.  It's not like I shared my opinion in any disrespectful manner.

EDIT:  Actually, seeing a photoshop preview, I've changed my mind.  It's fine.  And the publicity is a huge plus.  Jumpman on.
