This injury is really unfortunate.  We really need this kid in there for the next couple of games to continue getting much needed game experience before we get to the meat of the schedule.  He will be much needed in my opinion.  Hopefully he has a speedy recovery.

I long held that there was some sort of cosmic force that would not let Hemingway become a major receiving threat until he was a Junior, just like how Major Major Major must, necessarily, be promoted to Major before he may become part of the regular cast of Catch 22, and Radar O'Reilly must begin M.A.S.H. as the radio op.

But we lost his true junior season, and now his redshirt junior season is going bye. We are incredibily lucky to have a guy named Junior with two Junior season -- and you're telling me we can't even get him to play for more that 5 percent of that?

Maybe he should start not growing alfalfa on the Big House field. I heard of a guy who made a fortune not growing alfalfa.

when Junior's son (Junior, of course) successfully regroups from injury after red-shirting his junior year.  When Junior Jr.'s junior year becomes one for the record books, we will all say that it was a major, major accomplishment;  it might even surpass his dad's final year - Senior's senior campaign.

Of course, in the end we'll be able to look back and see that Junior Senior's Junior (senior) penultimate season was secondary only to Junior Jr.'s senior year.

Speaking generally, it's possible that he'll captain the corps, and will be privately known as RR's on field lieutenant.

/trying too hard.

As much as we all want Carvin to get healthy....I can say that for the time that he has been in games so far "Prison Abs" Gordon has been fine. I mean he was the starter prior to Johnson getting there and he didn't lose it because lack of effort. It's gonna be nice just to have Johnson/Gordon pushing each other at that spot and improving it overall!

Carvin would play the deep safety position after watching his HS clips.  It seemed like he was batting down/intercepting a lot of deep balls in the clips.  I figured prison abs would play the Spur and he has played pretty well there to date.  When Carvin is healthy again, it provides good depth either way.

I'm anxious to see what Fitz can do, we need some of our RBs to step up these next two games and take some of the load off Denard. And its important to get Carvin back before the start of Big 10 season, even if he doesn't come back and start its great to the depth back.

alot of players the next couple weeks (particularly WR's) that haven't been in the first 2 weeks. RR wants alot of WR rotation and I think he's been holding out for Hemingway to get in there but he's probably preparing a back up plan to that

If he lives up to Fred Jackson's hype then he may be the best RB in Michigan history.  Anytime you combined Mike Hart and Chris Perry into one player they have to be a beast, right?

Also in that article was mention that Herron is day-to-day which is good in light of this week's UFR that highlighted that Herron at LB allows Roh to move to DE and tears things up.

Herron by all regards should be healthy by Indiana at the latest, which will allow us to unleash hell in the form of Death Roh upon the lineman and RBs of the Big Ten!

Junior Hemingway is in one of my classes this semester (lecture and discussion) and he said that he will be playing this weekend.

So, take that for what its worth.

My guess is that you didn't click "Switch to plain text editor" before you pasted the embed code.  If you do that, you shouldn't have any problems.

To double check, if you switch back to rich text editor after you paste the code you will see a box--it won't show the video but it won't show the alphanumberic string either.

EDIT: man, I really suck at this.  The only box I see is red and says "Flash"  I guess that's not it.  Commence self-neg-bang now.  Isn't there a tutorial on this somewhere?  That would be better than the pathetic dong punching I'm getting each time. =)

reEDIT: Well, now that I've switched browsers, I can see that I did embed the vid.  (Damn you Safari!!!)  Thanks for the help. :)

I don't know why but the "Batman" reference doesn't stick with me.  I know the Dark Knight is cool and all, but the nickname was given by a ND homer.  I like the Dilithium and Shoelace stuff much better.

Now if we need to have a "Robin" nickname it gets a bit harder when your QB is nicknamed "Shoelace".  The only thing that I can think of is the little plasctic piece on the end of a shoelace.  That is called the "Aglet".  Maybe we could go with that for Fitz.

We need Fitz.. simple as that. He can be that true #1 complement to Denard. Damn, if the kid was healthy, he'd be having a solid start. Hopefully he bursts out on the Big 10.
