ESPN homepage headline: "Michigan to the playoff?" (and it's... Bill Connelly!?)

So I just came across this on ESPN.com's homepage:

Anyone else think it's slightly crazy?

Competition caveats apply, but most other programs haven't done what they're supposed to with the same caveats.

Just keep attacking and succeeding week by week. It's certainly possible.

It is slightly crazy, but in his SP+ rankings, we're #6 overall which would seem clearly in the hunt.

We are #1 with preseason projections removed (they start to drop off a lot next week).

That is supposed to adjust for competition, garbage time, etc. For the time being I'll just enjoy what looks to be a really solid football team.

Ahh yes, ESPN, the network that employs and gives a platform to Paul Finebaum and Stephen A. Smith (among others).

Shocking that they'd have a clickbait headline.  Just shocking.

I feel like it may be a bit early in the season to start sucking each other's dicks quite yet, but I will say that something unusual seems to be happening in Ann Arbor.

The team just looks, good? Polished? Tight? I'm not sure what the right adjective is, but in so many seasons past we've looked sloppy early in the season. And this year the team looks like an early November squad already.

Very funny, but i am serious. Created account uploaded the funds, downloaded the app, then went to make the bet, and it took five minutes with a location search before it came back to tell me im in NY and it isn't allowed yet.   I've said we are beating OSU, and if we do we likely make playoffs.    The odds should be 20 to 1 at worst right now.  The paradigm shift hasnt happened yet.  And i just checked draft kings, they took that bet off and now only allow betting on the national champt winner, at 50 to 1.  That bet i wouldn't take but making the playoffs at 50 to 1? Yep.
