MSU pregame radio was whining about it this morning.

-They think they have the right to violate pregame rules.

-They think they should have won last week, but UofM got lucky.

-Excuses...I heard them reference injuries 7 times in about the 10 minutes I listened...whining about UofM catching 2 deflected passes, etc..

if his words were an actual substance, it would be what we use to fertilize our fields.  maybe somebody stole his daily bakery delivery, and he's ticked?

Wow!  Engler don't you have better things to do then worry about a rounding error in the athletic department budget.

Nothing like the pettiness of a Spartan.

How can anything other than “no comment” be his comment? $10k fine for a sports team should be beneath him as a leader of a B1G school. Wow

Engler is a hack as President - he cannot even handle a simple PR drill like this topic.  No competent leader would play the victim card 6 days after an episode. Just say it was handled poorly by everyone involved and move on.

Then again, he has portrayed MSU as the victim in the Nassar situation.

Nitwit.

Probably true.  He is likely glad that his Saturday afternoon wine & cheese tasting with the Thoreau Society is not interrupted this week for a game.

Give him a lot of credit for his comments when he arrived at UM by admitting he wasn’t a football fan but learned how important the football program was the UM community. He has correctly supported the athletic department without losing perspective about he bigger importance of the university.
