Duke's loss is undoubtedly great for our bracket (and great for America), but are the Shockers somebody that we're itching to face over Louisville? Wichita State played Louisville very tight last year and lost nowhere near the talent that Louisville did.

And even if the odds of winning the billion dollars are infinitesimal, the potential payoff massively outweighs the tiny amount of effort it takes (register at the site and submit your bracket) to enter.
Quicken has sold and re-sold your personal information about 1,000 times by know and has probably covered the part of the 1B that they didn't insure. They probably want someone to win so they can take the publicity campaign even higher.
Sure, they're getting a lot of this, too. It's obviously not charity work on their part. But there is very little downside to entering. Yeah, they'll share your personal info - but so have a whole bunch of other websites you've visited at one time or another.
I guarantee you there are people who did a lot of research and generated multiple brackets with multiple email accounts all for nothing. 1/500,000 is your chance of winning $100,000. After tax you'll be lucky to take home $50K. Woop dee doo.
How much time/effort does it actually take to open an email account or read a little bit about some teams in the tournament? We're not talking back-breaking sacrifices here.
