|5 weeks 4 days ago||17 scarlet R's...||
is one of the best things that I have seen written on this site.
Congratulations to you Brian on having the courage and dignity to write that sentence. Well done sir.
|8 weeks 5 days ago||So when someone you don't like...||
does it, its "boring as hell" but when Michigan basketball doesn't score A SINGLE BASKET for 7-10 minutes stretches it's great defense and Beilein is an offensive genuis? C'mon man, you can not have it both ways.
Was the fight a brawl? By no stretch of the imagination! Was it a great firght? I believe so.
Think about it this way. Manny gets paid very well to be able to HIT people. Floyd rendered him incompetent at that task for 36 mintues. That's good boxing to me. If you've ever been in a fight you'll know, it's very important not to get hit. The mental acumen that Floyd must have is incredible! He makes his opponets hit air repeatedly for entire rounds. Crazy. Being great at tactical and technical strategy is one of the reasons Michigan basketball has returned to prominence and we LOVE it! If you don't like the guy, just say that (many of us don't) but please don't be a hypocrite.
|9 weeks 23 hours ago||Good point||
Brown is on the record saying he wants to say 2 years though fwiw...
|9 weeks 23 hours ago||Not ready||
to call it a wash just cause you think so. We often (and rightfully so) find consternation at recruits who say education is important and then pick a school like 'Bama over us. Many here did with DeShawn Hand. It's not fair, they're number 1, we aren't. Let's not act like that isn't the case because someone chose them over us.
And my mention of Cal's player history was not to compare it to Michigan's, I agree that laughable. It wasn't a stand alone point, please don't try to make it seem like it was. Context, as we know, is important.
And yes, Beilein WAY over Martin everyday of the week.
|9 weeks 23 hours ago||I see that you're confused||
No one is "just as good" as the #1. That's why they are #1, because they're better than the rest. Would you call Wisconsin "just as good" as Duke in basketball? No, you wouldn't.
Also, you're quite confused about Cal basketball. While they haven't been top tier they definitely have a history of good basketball players. They also have a McDonald's All-American on the roster as well as another top 5 recruit besides Brown. They had a winning record in their conference last year whereas Michigan did not and they also had a winning record overall whereas Michigan did not. Seems like he made a well thought out choice to me
|9 weeks 1 day ago||I'm confused||
... at how we all seem to be confused. Isn't academics a part of the "Michigan difference"? Don't we love to talk about Michigan's academic excellence? Don't we LOVE it when recruits pick schools because of the high quality level of education???
The kid just picked the top ranked undergraduate public institution in the country. Would I rather it were Michigan?? Heck yeah! Am I confused at why a high schooler would choose to go to arguably the best public undergraduate institution? Not in the least. Congrats to Mr. Brown. I hope we face Cal in the tournament and show him what he's missing out on!

going to MSU is how I imagine a lot of recruiting battles to go between rivals...
"hey kid, remember the school that didn't really want you once they got their fancy new coach? Come play for us and beat them!"
Sports are awesome.
|10 weeks 4 days ago||Exciting||
Well this is exciting news!
I like LeVert's game a lot. He can create space, and get to the basket. He senior leadership will come in handy too...
Not sure what this means for Brown but I'm certain this is a win for us!
|13 weeks 4 days ago||"I really hated how...||
guys would make mistakes and they would come off the field smiling"
So you really hate it when young people have fun and enjoy themselves playing a non life or death sport? Wow, that's interesting...
Sorry but I don't want coach to "rip me [or my son/daughter] a new asshole" because I made a mistake during an athletic competition were 11 other highly trained individuals are trying to help me make that exact mistake. It's a game. It's played because it's fun. I will never understand this line thinking.
|16 weeks 1 day ago||Not friday||
yet where I am DST or not but I did just text someone a line from the movie Friday. Does that get me into the Bang party?
Also, that baby has some serious moves. That's like a salsa dougie, quite impressive!
|16 weeks 2 days ago||So...||
no one remembers that Laettner stepped on a player during a basketball game? If anyone hates him its justifiable as he clearly has poor judgment and acts like a thug on the court.
|21 weeks 1 day ago||Bangin'||
Then going to a Bob Marley tribute.... in a city where some things are now legal... I'd say everything is gonna be alright!
|21 weeks 2 days ago||On job interviews||
...if you do not ask the question, "who will be my direct supervisor?" You're doing it wrong. Yes change is inevitable, but slow, gradual, change. Please don't be the guy who broadly appropraites physicts to college football recruiting. The smarter approach is seeing who the coach is going to be before signing. Kudos to dad for protecting his son's best interests as long as legally possible.
|22 weeks 4 days ago||TEAM||
This team is proving to be a testament to resilience and GUTS(!!) and I'm loving every minute of it.
|22 weeks 4 days ago||I wonder...||
if I were to puruse through the threads how many of you that are team "omgosh! just do your job and talk to the media" are also team "omgosh! why does Richard Sherman talk so much?"
You all really crack me up. Its rather entertaining...
|22 weeks 4 days ago||I just want...||
JP to be the best, most exciting, most hard hitting, and most terrifying safety that opponet QBs have ever seen. Is that too much to ask!?
|32 weeks 1 day ago||Not stupid||
but its not stupid, not at all. I personally don't have a problem with the kissing if it was my significant other but if someone thinks it's not ok for their spouse to kiss someone else on the lips I find that to be a perfectly reasonable expectation in a marriage. Outside of the intimacy implications, health concerns are a thing... since when is that stupid?
|32 weeks 1 day ago||So then...||
...I take it you would be ok with your spouse getting paid a lot of money being a "girlfriend experience" escort (in the pure sense of the word escort, no sexual contact at all) for a living. If not, you must have some real confidence issues...
|32 weeks 1 day ago||idk guys...||
... i mean here's the thing, everybody is just writing this off as irrational and I'm not sure. What part of being a model means you have to kiss people? Wearing fashionable clothes/jewelry/perfume so people will buy them in no way indicates to me that you should engage in tonsil hockey. Why are we just accepting of this as a society? Also, how many of you would be cool with watching your spouse lip lock with other men/women deemed by the world to be WAY more attractive than you? Be honest. I think the OP illuminates a great point. If I walk into a bar and see my "buddy's" (yes I know that the OP doesn't know Brady personally and is just a fan) wife smooching it up with an attractive stranger, I'm gonna feel some type of way.
|1 year 19 hours ago||But its already abused||
which is the point of this whole legal case. Why don't you care that the rules currently in place are abusive and take advantage of "student" athletes. Large corporations (aka athletic departments) get to take advantage of 17-23 year olds and you're cool with that?
|1 year 20 hours ago||Nope||
Actually I am one who you speak of with an English degree and it was always my intent to become a high school english teacher. Do I love reading? Sure. But that shit don't pay the bills.
|1 year 1 week ago||FTW||
Can't up vote but please just know that you win.
|1 year 5 weeks ago||There is a difference||
I didn't say it was hard to figure, I said it doesn't make sense because it doesn't. It makes absolutely no sense to belive that a person who showed through out his recruitment that he was thinking the process through to make the best decision in his mind would commit to a school only to decommit.
|1 year 5 weeks ago||Sipping lemonade in the shade...||
...after I get banged of course! Then Spider-Man and X-Men.
|1 year 5 weeks ago||HA!||
Pls accept my raucous laughter in place of the upvote I am unable to give.... LOL!!
|1 year 5 weeks ago||At my job||
I communicate daily with the principal and I have NO IDEA what she is going to pull in the next minute. So, no, communication does not equal reliable information.
|1 year 5 weeks ago||Ohh... I get it now!||
Mr. McDowell always wanted to go to MSU but was going to commit to Michigan only to back out later due to Michigan's visit policy and not his STATED desire to go to State? THAT makes perfect sense!
|1 year 5 weeks ago||Is your "insider" a meteorologist?||
otherwise how can you get "trustworthy" info about an event that didn't happen and from the looks of things was never going to? Also, you say everything in the post is hypothetical but you list it as working out in Michigan's favor. How can a hypothetical non event work out in anyones favor??? Something doesn't make sense
|1 year 6 weeks ago||Ok...||
Ok so in conclusion Iverson may or may not (you heard) owe some people some money, is a 38yr old male looking to be gainfully employed, and is in fact still worth $50 million. Cool. Now where is the waste?
|1 year 6 weeks ago||What did Ivo waste?||
Why would you look at Iverson when talking about wasting things? Is it because of the $50 million he has or because you didn't know he has it? Research should be more than... "this one headline I saw on Yahoo once"
