I liked the UTL stripes and the more subtle Sugar Bowl stripes. I really disliked the Staee bumble bees though. I asked myself, "if we would have won the game would I like them better?" I answered myself back with a resounding no. |
| 1 day 1 hour ago | Disagree |
I went to the game and low attendance was defiantly because of the blizzard. By no means would have been a sell out, but if I had to guess they would have had 30,000. Central has a decent following and since cheap tickets are widely available for this event many families and teams attend the game. The blizzard was terrible, but I felt the city did the best job they possibly could to make it a good showing despite the 9 inches of snow on the ground. It was a terrible drive. |

... Because Delmas seems to get injured every year. |
| 1 day 3 hours ago | I wouldn't say always a bust |
People say Cass kids are underachievers because they never seem to be a stud on the field at the collegiate level. For the most part we are talking about Defensive guys though. I think the feeling is (especially if you watch film) hat hey are superior athletes in high school, but often they lack technique and mechanics. I really believe some of this is changing at Cass, although Jayru also has fairly poor mechanics for such a successful QB. Some of those things will come with age and experience. Since the school has created a monopoly on talent within the city (do to four factors; prestige, new facilities, state titles and great academics) it seems as though the student athletes coming out of CT today will be much better prepared for college then they were six or seven years ago. Again just my personal opinion but hat is the vibe I get from other coaches. |

| 1 day 18 hours ago | Despise ohio |
I personally despise ohio. Always have, long before Hoke & Co. made it cool. I have friends who live and work in ohio and when I visit (extremely rare) I just feel dirty, like I am in the white trash capital of the world. The first time I ever visited I saw groups of grown men riding bikes to the bars. I asked a local who knew my friend what the deal was and she responded that they had likely lost their licenses to DUIs. That same night at a local hole in the wall bar I went to sing karaoke. I kiddingly joked that I would sing Juicy by Biggy. He told me he had never heard of the song. He found the lyrics, but he said the song was not available. He told me he could play 50 cent's in the club as background music. After I killed it the dj asked me how I knew that song. I responded back calmly with "I'm not from ohio" he shook his head in agreement. You just can't make his stuff up. I truly dislike ohio. |
| 1 day 21 hours ago | I would freeze |
I would freeze if they were two good teams. I would classify 'good' as being BCS caliber teams with four loses or less. I completely agree that no one will show up outdoors, presumably in December for a MAC champ. Just wont happen. |

| 1 week 1 day ago | Watching film |
After watching more film on this guy it seems as though he would be a great pick up. I hate to say this but he kind of reminds me of Ryan Shazier for ohio. Always downhill, and stays home on counters. I like his pursuit as well. Seems like a great athlete. Film also reminds me a bit of our own Jake Ryan's a bit, except he comes off as a little more orthodox in his style and technique. Very physical and aggressive. Comes across as someone who will make mistakes early n in his career but will be quickly groomed and could easily be a huge contributor on D by his sophomore year (depth pending). |

| 1 week 1 day ago | Dumb question |
Dumb question, but is this really him? If it in fact is (looks like him from the newspaper pic) this is terrible. It's generic and the wordplay itself is something you could here in any school, street, or park in the U.S. the fact he turned down a full ride for this... To quote Eminem "where were the parents at?" |

| 1 week 5 days ago | Their opener will be fun |
Their opener will be fun but it will also be a landslide. Southfield is a good team with solid talent. They will be a playoff team but they are not near on the same level as Cass. It will be lopsided, but if you want to see talented players both sides will have a few. |
| 1 week 5 days ago | ohio |
ohio is one of the largest universities in the country. I really don't care if they have three extra sports. If we have football they can continue to accept anyone who can spell their own name. Let them eat cake. |
| 1 week 6 days ago | Accusations |
I try to keep my accusations to myself, because well, they are just my opinions. The old adage states that when there is smoke there is fire. The SEC seems to get away with a ton in every respect to academic eligibility and just plain cookie corner cutting. I know most will scream sour grapes, but why does he ncaa never investigate, at least make it public, that they are in fact looking into some of these legitimate allegations towards SEC schools. |
| 2 weeks 1 hour ago | At the present rate |
At the present rate by 2020 two hand touch may be in question. I'm all for improving safety measures, but I do not like the fact that fundamental elements of he game are changing. Contact directed towards the head should be eliminated, tackling, all together, should not. |
| 2 weeks 5 days ago | Schedule |
The only three games I would even question on this schedule are Penn State, Nebraska, Northwestern, and ohio. I feel very confident that the rest will be handled. These four will in a sense be toss-ups. I see us beating state, northwestern, Nebraska (home game). We should take care of psu, even on the road. I believe ohio will g into the game undefeated and falter in a close one a he big house. I honestly see 1-2 loses at worst. I think at times our offense will be stagnant and the d may give up some big plays. Special teams may be better than we think. Yes we our concerned about the punter situation, but really he is the only special teamer we potentially have to replace. Kick game should be solid. Overall a division championship for Michigan. Anything less would be a disappointment. |

It sure would be a quick contest. You would have to hope the first words given are something along the lines of roll or tide in order to get out of the first round. |

SEC football and the national spelling bee should never be on the same network. Insults the the intelligent. |
| 3 weeks 19 hours ago | I never really understood |
I am fairly young, somewhat hip, and I know how to use twitter. I will never understand when # became a hash tag and seemingly lost its traditional title of pound sign given to it by every adult in my life from the ages of 2-8? I want to say this was discussed before, but I truly do not remember he answer. Is it really not a pound sign? If so, my grandmother and every other relative I used to bother lied to me. Worse than Santa. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | I agree |
I agree that in the south, particularly in Florida during the fall where it seems to rain about every day (a mini monsoon season) I'm sure you do lose a few practices due to the inclement weather. However, the issue up here in the north is that we literally lose whole seasons were all we can do are walk-throughs. Technically I cannot have more than 4 athletes and a ball present with me from the end of November until June and the summer camp circuit. I am really not complaining about the situation itself. I understand that each state has it's own rules and is bound to the climate of the region. I am just curious to see if any changes will come to hs in regards to contact. I know some schools are investing in the protective pads on he outside of the helmets for 7v7s (us included). |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | If this is the case... |
If this is the case then someone needs to regulate the amount of contact allowed in high school as well. I go to many coaches clinics throughout the country and when you talk wih coaches in the Deep South they essentially have two seasons a year. Spring ball is a huge deal down there and often teams scrimmage other teams in exhibition games. Practices are padded (whole other issue) and players get real reps with he coaching staff. In Michigan (and several other Midwest states) players cannot wear pads (can wear helmets) during things like 7v7s, however when teams from out of state come the student athletes bring pads and helmets. I some cases hey we almost surprised (probably due to bad planning) that there in fact would be no contact. I have always felt that this practice, along with the whole non spring ball emphasis has put guys in the Midwest at a bit of a disadvantage, if with nothing else, at least the playbook. If the nfl, and assuming he ncaa are going o cut back on contact then it seems only logical that the south should have to do this as well. Just my two cents. |

Very true. 56 years and counting. |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | Worth going if you like competition |
If you enjoy talented hs football players then I would recommend it. Fun to see the best of the best, so to speak, because they rarely face off on a weekly basis in high school (obviously, depending on league) have been to one for a player I coached and it was eye opening how much talent here is at such a young age. These kids really do have such an advantage when it comes to transitioning to college, but also being noticed by elite programs. As previously mentioned, do not go at 8am. Wait until at least 10 so hey can actually begin competitive drills. |
| 3 weeks 6 days ago | MSU back to obscurity |
MSU is slipping back into obscurity and they are concerned they will always play third fiddle to Michigan and ohio despite PSU obviously being down. I kind of don't blame sparty. I would hate taking third to fourth every year for the foreseeable future. I really do not even want to poke fun at MSU, but I think they see he writing on the wall. |
| 3 weeks 6 days ago | Honestly |
Honestly I think we take one more receiver. If I had to bet money I think I would guess its Scott. Maybe he jumps on board. That smaller, more shifty slot receiver can be a real difference maker in this offense. |
