Dorsey, Parker, and Knight

Submitted by rickiew04 on
I'm not to familiar with how NSD usually goes down but I was thinking. Since all three are supposed to announce on the same day, do you think they will be watching each other choose? If they do, one of them could have a last minute change of heart if Michigan receives a couple of commitments. However, if they don't pay attention to each other, Michigan could very likely receive a commitment from all three of them.

Sean Parker is announcing at 10am EST, so my guess is he will be the first to make his decision known. I don't recall reading about Knight's announcement schedule. As for Dorsey, I just don't think he's coming. I'd put all my pans in the Seminoles' fryer.

Only one kid in my HS graduating class signed for a D1 football scholarship and it was Indiana, so no big deal. But it happened during school hours so that any students and friends who wanted to watch were able to do so. Probably will be the same for Parker.

The commits pick a time to publicize their commitment. There are changes of heart all the time and the catalyst of said event could be a wide range of things.

We're all waiting desperately for news. We're worse than kids waiting for Christmas morning! (wake up Brian and RR!!! Is it time yet? Can we find out what we're getting? Huh? Huh?) I think the last few years have heightened the interest. BTW, your avatar is especially relevant to your comment.

There's a thread started by one of the main writers for Rivals saying that he's gotten information from a very trusted source that Dietrich Riley will be going to UCLA. Apparently Parker pretty much told the USC coaches that if Riley goes to USC, he'd be going to Michigan. Now that Riley's going to UCLA the USC coaches played this up and are pretty confident Parker will choose them. I never like going against Webb's gut, but...

I would say "College Football Recruiting Process>NFL Draft Process", but because we basically know who is going to sign ahead of time, I would say NFL Draft Day is slightly more exciting than NSD. Also, I would give the slight edge to NFL Draft Day because I am interested in both former Michigan players and whoever goes to the Detroit Lions.

I have a feeling that Sam wouldn't call it a lock if he wasn't basing that on some very credible information. Also, is there a place to find the announcements times for the athletes on NSD? More importantly how about times for our three DB's. I now Parker at 10, but do either of the other possible wolverines have scheduled times?

To all the LOST fans out there. Should we start a thread for the season six premier? NSD and LOST premier...what a week. Side note: If I go to LOST premier viewing party, I will not be able to partake, since I don't want to look like a weirdo giggling to myself typing away at my laptop. Mgoblogger's comments often gives me the giggles.

I listened to Sam this morning and he didn't say he had a "strong gut feeling", he only had a "gut feeling". In Sam's lingo, they are different. He has been backing off a bit on issuing statements since Grimes. However, he did say that we are definitely still in the mix for Dorsey and that the coaches told him and his family that if he wanted to he could play both ways (safety/corner and WR). From what it sounds with Kinght, his mother likes Rutgers alot and he likes Michigan alot. I think the solution to that is to let his mom play at Rutgers and let Rashad play at Michigan. It makes everyone happy.

lock of the week. So that means he is pretty confident, but just changed the way he is announcing Parker. My feeling depending on announcement times is that if Parker and Dorsey both Go Blue maybe Knight goes elsewhere. However it plays out I suspect we manage to pull two of the three and I would be happy with any combination of the three.

Parker has already made his decision for a month. It's down to Michigan and USC. Both of them think that they got him. Knight, it's 50/50 shot. Not sure on which team will take Knight but losing their main recruiter helps Michigan. Michigan may have the edge. Dorsey, hard to tell. It's a 2 team race IMO(USC is not in it). Most think it's FSU but could be a surprise commit to Michigan. His family appears to prefer Michigan over FSU. It's up to Dorsey on which team that he wants to play for the next 4 years.

Don't know who you are, or your sources, but don't really care. Just appreciate both the inside info and the education on football. BTW, I torn on your avatar. She is downright gorgeous, but man, also very distracting, and borderline nsfw. Fortunately, the avatars are small. Couldn't you find a nice pic of Graham or Lamaar laying out a QB? just sayin.

is probably a FSU lean. Knight and Parker would be a great haul. Interesting thing about Dorsey is that according to Sam he was offered to play O and D, which is one reason why 5 coaches from both sides of the ball did his in home a couple days ago. Haing Woodson just win the NFL efensive player of the year probably didn't hurt the cause either.
