Denard for President of Everything Michigan Related
I'm sure this is buried somewhere in the 170-some comments of the previous Denard thread just a little further down the board, but I believe this quote, after Denard rushed for 127 yards and a TD against the Browns, warrants a thread of it's own:
Robinson, a former Michigan quarterback, was asked about his career day.
"Good to do it against an Ohio team," he said.
Now THAT is a Michigan Man. [source]

by doing that dance when Gene-Gene The Dancing Machine came on.
The Gong Show was universally hated by all of the moms...which only made it all the more appealing.

So it wasn't just me (or my mom)?

Oh, and remember how the audience would mimic Chuck Barris by clapping when Chuck clapped? Maybe we should do that w/ Hoke.
The audience misses the first clap at 0:04, but nails the claps at 0:07 and 0:10, and is just a little late on the sneaky clap at 0:16.

He's the best.

convinced to stay by hoke

Don't think Denard was ever going anywhere. He's the anti-Mallett.
October 19th, 2014 at 6:27 PM ^
The hell does that mean?
October 19th, 2014 at 7:13 PM ^
Who at what. Miss him!
October 19th, 2014 at 9:25 PM ^
Or possibly by his teammates. Or possibly by his own psyche. The world will never know.

Why would you downvote this thread? You need to go fix that.
October 19th, 2014 at 10:05 PM ^
Yes, that's un-American. Or at least un-Michigan.
October 19th, 2014 at 9:30 PM ^
The coolest of stories, bro.
October 19th, 2014 at 6:07 PM ^
Good to see him have a great game when given the opportunity.
October 19th, 2014 at 6:09 PM ^
Hell yeah! Great job Lace!

still remember his first play...
October 19th, 2014 at 6:23 PM ^
As I noted in the other thread, I think you remember his second play, or his first play from QB. His first play was for no gain. His second play was the 43-yard fumbled snap "look at that speed" touchdown. If we owe the guy who gave his heart and soul to Michigan one thing, its accuracy in memory.

Haha chill

Dude, shhhh. This is a little while lie we can all approve of. So let it be written, so let it be said...
October 19th, 2014 at 6:56 PM ^
Ok ok, I get it, I'll stop!
October 19th, 2014 at 10:07 PM ^
Yes Denard scored a touchdown on every single play according to my memory.
And they were all worth 10 points.
October 19th, 2014 at 6:26 PM ^
Hard to forget it
October 19th, 2014 at 6:11 PM ^
We can pay him 15 million a year and he doesn't even need assistant coaches.
He can run to every recruit and be home by dinner.
Same with practice and camp, he can run to every position and coach everybody.
October 19th, 2014 at 6:27 PM ^
How about $5 million just to smile on the sideline?
October 19th, 2014 at 9:11 PM ^
He was born with that smile!!

(Title of this post says it all!)

ADC: Denard.
October 19th, 2014 at 6:28 PM ^
Was just about to ask if anyone had highlights. Thanks!
October 19th, 2014 at 10:12 PM ^
Wow, how good is Denard?
He got me to watch Jacksonville Jaguars highlights. On purpose.
October 19th, 2014 at 6:22 PM ^
Jags beating the Browns has become the highlight for Michigan Football. Times are beyond rough.
October 19th, 2014 at 7:11 PM ^
we didn't lose this weekend
October 19th, 2014 at 8:25 PM ^
Except I'm a Browns fan......sigh
Congrats to Denard though

DENARD FOR AD HC AND SCHOOL PRESIDENT!
October 19th, 2014 at 6:28 PM ^
Part of me will never forgive Hoke for clipping Denard's wings.
October 19th, 2014 at 10:27 PM ^
I will always consider Hoke's biggest failing to be making Denard fit what Hoke wanted to do.
Denard's soph season, the only one he started, was one of the great statistical seasons of all time. 2500+ throwing and 1500+ running? I still get sad imagining two more years of Denard with RichRod.
Hoke has been a lightweight with an arrogant attitude. I dont expect him to go anywhere and start beating top 10 teams.
October 19th, 2014 at 6:35 PM ^
He would have won us the B1G 10 in 2012 if it werent for that injury (I'm convinced that we would have beat Nebraska and Wisconsin). He deserved it too.
October 19th, 2014 at 7:05 PM ^
Agreed
October 19th, 2014 at 7:46 PM ^
Gosh I miss that guy

Can the Lions trade Bush for Denard?
October 19th, 2014 at 7:25 PM ^
Trade farely to the jags for denard... We need the rb depth. And I bet he could contribute like regie does in the slot.

I wish he would have played RB at Michigan.
October 19th, 2014 at 7:04 PM ^
No. What made Denard dangerous was his ability to pass and run. The defense had to keep guessing and that is why we had an easier time running the ball in 2011 and 2012. Not because the oline was better than now but because defenses had to keep an eye on denards running ability giving the rbs holes to run through
October 19th, 2014 at 6:43 PM ^
can denard not field a kickoff? it seems like he'd be decent at it if he could consistnetly catch the balls....
I have kind of wondered why he hasn't been played until now for a while... He always was better at improvisation in real-game scenarios than anything else... and even then, he did pretty well the times they have played him
(Some of it was from the nerve damage in his hand thanks to the same coach who has destroyed devin gardners torso)
That quote is as Michigan as it gets, cause he got fucked in his tenure at Michigan with all the BS that continues through today, and he still hates ohio like no other.
Looking forward to more denard in the future.... Hope he can handle the big-boy hits... I'll even cheer him on against my own favorite NFL team.
October 19th, 2014 at 7:02 PM ^
I don't think the jaguars can afford getting him injured. RB is fine as long as he can keep a decent average
October 19th, 2014 at 7:10 PM ^
Wolverines and doesn't sit on the sideline taking shots.
October 19th, 2014 at 9:24 PM ^
Eh, i'm just happy to see denard get his shot.. i've been screaming about it for a while, even grabbed him on fantasy last week because i knew given the chance he'd bust a few big ones.... his avg rush was already good... just wasn't getting enough.
