Welp, can't say I'm not surprised.
Just awesome.

Can't not.

He decommitted the second he took the visit to NC State last week.
That's how this staff operates.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:52 PM ^
This staff operates?
September 29th, 2014 at 10:07 PM ^
NC State almost put a upset on the national champs.
Better than we look.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:13 PM ^
Woah color me shocked!
September 29th, 2014 at 8:14 PM ^
Clearly not Michigan Man material.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:15 PM ^
Won't be the last. This program is toxic right now.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:15 PM ^
For a rash of good-bye posts. The hits keep on occurring.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:15 PM ^
That said, if we had a different coach and a winning record things may have been different.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:15 PM ^
Hoke cannot recruit from the SEC's territory
September 29th, 2014 at 8:21 PM ^
That is the ACC territory.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:15 PM ^
That kid deserves an academic scholarship.....he didnt want that first class ticket on the titanic no matter how plush the deck chairs are.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:16 PM ^
Probably a good career move.
September 29th, 2014 at 9:49 PM ^
Outstanding
September 29th, 2014 at 8:18 PM ^

September 29th, 2014 at 8:19 PM ^

September 29th, 2014 at 8:19 PM ^
Best of luck to him. No hard feelings for staying the hell away from this clusterfuck

Between the teams exploits and recruiting losing lustre, we could be in for a tough few months. Time for our rubber underwear.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:21 PM ^
gonna happen when you have a dumpster fire going on!
September 29th, 2014 at 8:22 PM ^
Losing sucks. This is clearly not the biggest problem right now.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:22 PM ^
This was inevitable and it is better to happen now than in February. The key here is getting Brandon and Hoke as far away from Ann Arbor as possible, fill the vacancies with competent people this time, let them do their thing.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:23 PM ^
Peace bro.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:24 PM ^
act quickly. The university leadership can't ignore recruits starting to bail.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:50 PM ^
Agreed, but luckily this wasn't/isn't going to be too big of a class. Hopefully if we stop the bleeding quickly we can recover some or most of these guys.
September 29th, 2014 at 9:01 PM ^
They ignored blatant coaching negligence on Saturday. They'll turn a blind eye to this too.
September 29th, 2014 at 9:53 PM ^
I mean...they've ignored a rapist on the team, a streak of horrible performances on the field, a coach rapidly losing control of his locker room, general mismanagement of talent to the point of disparing hilarity, and unsafe player management.
Pretty sure recruits bailing won't move the needle.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:28 PM ^
Buckle up ? Seriously, nothing short of financial harm (eg attendance drop,. boycott) will cause Hoke or Brandon to lose their job. I dont think Brandon and above really care about individual recruits, only the botom line at the end of the budget year.
September 29th, 2014 at 9:07 PM ^
What are you talking about?
September 29th, 2014 at 8:25 PM ^
Honestly, if we realy want to get this fixed, recruits should be the absolute last thing on anybody's mind right now. We shouldn't expect ANY of these kids to stay. If they do, they should be greeted with blowjobs from the finest of cambodian immigrants immediately upon arrival on campus.
On another, but related note, seeing Shane Morris getting this type of press on ESPN (for all the wrong reasons) took me back to his recruiting process. Remember how much hope there was when he was coming in? How much of an ambassador he was trying to be for the program & the efforts he made to bring in that class? That shit seems like a decade ago...and it also should be a reminder to us about how much less hype we should give these kids before they actually accomplish anything.
September 29th, 2014 at 9:07 PM ^
What in the flying fuck?
September 29th, 2014 at 9:09 PM ^
How 'bout we start off with your mother, asshole.
September 29th, 2014 at 9:52 PM ^
...I see somebody hasn't seen the "Chappelle Show" before.
Jesus Christ.
The overreaction was gold, though.
September 29th, 2014 at 9:27 PM ^
fucking thing i've seen tonight.. LOL. Mr. Don's reaction to it is pure gold.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:26 PM ^
Shortest commitment ever? lol
September 29th, 2014 at 10:32 PM ^
No I think that honor belongs to Lawrence Marshall and ohio
September 29th, 2014 at 11:01 PM ^
Thats what she said
September 29th, 2014 at 8:28 PM ^
Can we just do these decommits once a month instead of as they happen ? I feel an avalanche a comin' and I only want to be buried and dig out once. (Assumes fetal position next to bottle of Blanton's Bourbon.). Bourbon will also help my back, since I was rearended on my way to work and went to the ER. Ugh. These past 3 days have been painful on many a level.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:28 PM ^
That's what happens when you commit to a coach and not the school. Best of luck.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:32 PM ^
Fact is most kids commit to a staff and not the school.
September 29th, 2014 at 8:53 PM ^
We are lucky that Tyree Kinnel and Grant Newsome didn't commit to the coaching staff.
September 29th, 2014 at 10:09 PM ^
I think this man speaks truth fly him back from Bolivia

Wait til we get curb stomped by sparty. God, I really thought this was gonna be a good year.....

Objectively, unless a player is committed to the U of M itself and not to a specific coach(es) we might as well consider 95% of the recruiting as gone. I don't see why its a big issue. Everyone's demanding a coach's head on a platter = consider recruiting flushed until a new HC can start his own recruiting. Recruits are fickle until they are institutionalized. Approximately 2 years' classes should be considered vanished at this point as the majority of guys going to sign Feb 15 are going to fly and there will be no chance for a new coach to sign anyone meaningful until Feb 16. That class will likely be cautionary depending on who is hired with what perception. Not saying there won't be athletes on scholarship as there will be as sure as the sun rises. But we will compete with Purdue and Illinois and Northwestern for recruits. Amazing how fast things work in the 21st century!
