This may be an age/cultural difference thing, but I grew up understanding the term 'out' in sports related content to specifically mean "not play/practicing due to injury". So, for me, the title was concise and accurate to the content.
Interesting to see these reactions to the title and realize how much our use of terms in past decades was really built around the lack of free agency in the pros and difficulty of transferring, lack of other options, for college players.

I'll agree... 'Out', to me, means not playing for whatever reason (usually injury). It does not mean transfer or trade.
Of all the post titles to complain about, this complaint was pretty weak.

Yeah I apologize for the misunderstanding. "Out" to me means injury or not playing for some other reason. They still label NFL players that way on the injury report. I wasn't thinking about transfers

If this were week 2 and about a player who plays, you'd have a point. In the offseason this vague title is obviously going to make some think otherwise. It takes 0 effort to specify.

I'll disagree. I'm old and my first thought was he was leaving. This is college ball, not the pros where it would have been assumed it was an injury.
Reading the Twitter post it's quite obvious it's an injury.

Knock on wood losing Dent will have minimal impact on 2022, and will keep a promising young player around an extra year.
