That's gotta be a pretty cool feeling, becoming a naturalized citizen. Congrats, Mr. Darboh!

In honor of this, try to find the end zone a couple times Saturday!

That would be sweet way for him to celebrate and hopefully they are of the game winning variety that get scored in the 1st half.

Does his becomming a citizen mean its no longer legal for refs to allow blatant PI against him?
September 24th, 2015 at 10:29 AM ^
does mean that he needs to gain 65 pounds.

Reading that story makes me glad I was born in a relatively peaceful country, just 2 countries away. I can't imagine losing both my parents and growing up constantly on the run. Jehu Chesson also has an interesting story, although afaik both his parents are alive.

to one of the stupidest sci-fi films ever made, or a piece of crap sequel which contains a ridiculously over-the-top and eminently mockable "patriotic" song delivered by some no-talent hack who couldn't hold his own in a cheap karaoke bar, it looks to me like some of you are making fun of Darboh's new citizenship.
Why that would be is a mystery.
September 24th, 2015 at 10:36 AM ^
The original Starship Troopers is not stupid.
I can tell you for sure that I am not mocking or making fun of Darboh's new citizenship. I am offended that you would make such accusations.
September 24th, 2015 at 10:56 AM ^
By "Original Starship Troopers" do you mean the book?
September 24th, 2015 at 11:07 AM ^
Both -- although I prefer the movie. The book takes shots at the American and that frustrates me
September 24th, 2015 at 10:42 AM ^
I think you can both be proud of Darboh's achievement while simultaneously poking some fun at the over-the-top patriotism that comes with these events.
September 24th, 2015 at 11:24 AM ^
possible that your patriotism could be over-the-top....especially at an event like this.

I've been following Amara's and Jehu's stories from when we first heard about their recruitment. It never gets old to see their success here.
Congrats on making it official, Amara!

My wife came from Greece and became naturalized in 1972. To this very day, she feels that it is one of the greater things she has accomplished in her life so far...
A great day for America! and Amara!
