He is very truthful. Very objective, but he talked bad about us before so he’s a horrible person to many here. The Herd is the GOAT lol.

Nah,  he’s different .  If you listen to his show in full ,  his show’s common theme is talking more about the business angle of sports .  It can be interesting but yeah ,  once in a while The Herd has a hawt take that’s he trying too hard and gets repetitive but nothing like screaming A Smith

What do I have to forgive? Still don't like him

This isn't going away OSU

Update:

- Zach Smith goes on ESPN to say AD Gene Smith knew
- Zach Smith denies abusing his wife
- @Brett_McMurphy releases screenshot of text messages in which Zach Smith allegedly admits to abusing his wife.

Fire everybody.

Meyer's admission of lying is too little too late by his personal spin doctors. If Meyer fired Zach Smith because he hit his wife and then comes back to say he didn't hit his wife, then why was Zach Smith fired exactly? Meyer is talking out of both sides of his mouth and his ass. Now Meyer is going to tell the truth? You don't know what the truth is with Meyer. I doubt you'll ever get to it. Wait until the text and phone records are pulled. NCAA will join this party and put a squashing on OSU for good measure. Why they keep their AD is beyond me, but hey...we've had our own personnel issues as well. For OSU to clean this up, cut Meyer and Gene Smith and just accept what the NCAA may do to you and move forward from there.

Don't kid yourself. He wasn't fired because he was charged with trespassing last month. People were already blaming his ex-wife for setting him up. Even on WTKA.

A week had passed. Then word of the allegations from 2015 leaked out and he was fired almost immediately. Understandable if he was fired by someone who just learned of his history.

The NCAA isnt going to do squat over this. OSU may suspend him for two games (they just happen to play Oregon State and Rutgers to start the season) but there is no way that he gets fired over this. That whole program (coaches, players, university, fans) couldn't care less about anything other than winning football games.

Never.  I'm insulted by the question, and the existence of this post.  What a hypocrisy, to give Colin Cowherd credit for anything.  That is fandom and homerism taken to a nauseating extreme.

The only thing worse than "Twitter" is "Colin Cowherd on Twitter."

No, not 11W.  Rather, a Michigan alum and Victors Club member who has a long memory and a good memory and who holds grudges.  Actually, I never liked Cowherd or his ilk to begin with.  No "grudge" necessary.

Does a complete asshole become changed overnight because he does some trashtalk aimed at Ohio State on Twitter?

Section 1.8

We can ignore, if you wish, Colin Cowherd’s amazing personal history of assholery.  But just taking this one tweet on its face, it is still stupid!  Cowherd has done that thing of lumping together all “Buckeye fans” as an indistinguishable unit, all guilty of the same sins in the eyes of Judge Cowherd.

I’m a Michigan fan; but base on what I see on the internet, there are a significant number of other Michigan fans who I do not speak for, and who damn sure don’t speak for me.

But in Cowherd’s dumbed-down sports talk radio world, there is apparently only a single Buckeye fan base.  God help us, what he presumes about a single unitary “Wolverine fan base.”

Doesn’t matter to me, either.  I don’t much care if it matters to anybody.  Certainly not you.  I didn’t bring it up.

And I have to say that I just love it, when somebody challenges me on the notion that any hint of a defense of Urban Meyer must “out” me as an OSU fan.  When in fact, the length and depth of my involvement with, and devotion to the University of Michigan surpasses about 99.9999% of the population.  Hell, I am in the top 10% of Victors Club pointholders now.

And no, I don’t expect that to matter, apart from the fact that I can shove it down the throat of a guy who accuses me of posting “11 Warriors” comments.

I was kicked off 11W.  Personally, by Ramzy Nasrallah.  For the sin of protesting that he had no business, as any sort of professional writer, in calling Brendan Gibbons a “rapist.”

Lol Section 1.8 I’m in the top 5% of donors. I’m just posting to say your opinion is now invalid because I am more important and involved than you.

Seriously though, just STFU. There’s a reason you’ve been banned before. You’re a dick. You’ll always be a dick. You only come out to post when you have a good opportunity to stir shit up.

I mean, what kind of special do you have to be to get nuked on both a Michigan AND Ohio State sports blog? Oh, right. There you are.

Brett McMurphy on Twitter:......Let me get this straight: Urban Meyer, in a matter of seconds, can come up w/way to convert a 4th-&-1 in double OT to beat Michigan, yet he can not be "adequately” prepared to take questions at B1G Media Day

I thought elevenwarriors represented the more rational side of the Ohio State fanbase, but I just checked on the latest in this trainwreck and hoooooo boy was I wrong.

I've gone through some personal (health) stuff in the last few years that has helped me gain some perspective. Not that I would otherwise be defending ANYONE who condones violence against women, but my experiences have taught me that there are many, MANY things that come before a game.

I'm an occasional reader of this blog for Michigan football news/updates since your team is the hated enemy and everything :) I created an account just to second this comment.

Sane PSU folks who care about their university and were horrified by its institutional rot and the child abuse it enabled have had a hell of a time trying to deal with the insane wagon-circlers over the last six or so years.  We let the loonies shout the loudest and drown out everyone else, and the school is still afraid to step on the toes of the JoeBot contingent to this day.

I hope sane OSU football fans show a bit more courage than we did and don't let their delusional peers seize control of the conversation.  Meyer's only been there for 7 years--I doubt he's built Paterno-style, lifelong loyalty in that time, no matter how many games he's won.

Eh, I'll say that - as a Columbus resident - the majority of OSU fans who actually went to the school are alright and there's a silent plurality of people who have the gumption to not actually give a shit about the Buckeyes.  Then again, I make a point of associating primarily with people who bathe regularly and stay off the local sex offender registry.

There's also a lot of Big Lots Buckeyes whose faces resemble genital sore and who wear Buckeye gear to church - those are the majority of Bucknuts and 11W commenters.

You're not wrong. Very few people who I graduated with are blindly defending Urban like the commentariat on 11W. I guess I just was fooled into the belief that it was one of the last bastions of reasonable fanhood. I won't be commenting there in the future, although I believe that the site's admins and writers are coming from a place similar to the one I am.

I was at work yesterday at Riverside Hospital and the subject came up. there was only one Ohio State fan who had anything to say anything and that was absolute defense of Urban Meyer that everybody in power is evil and urban is no worse than absolutely everyone else who has any authority over anybody else. He was willing to admit that Urban was a slimy, low morals, when at all cost coach going back to his time at Florida, but he never actually admitted Urban did anything wrong here and was adamant that he was no worse than anybody else.

the only people that spoke up and said Urban was obviously in the wrong significantly on this where non Ohio State fans. Not that they were necessarily anti Ohio State, they just weren't fans.
