Champions Classic Open Thread: Sparty (Weird Guys) vs Duke, Now...Kansas vs Kentucky (9:00 ET)

Toledo-VCU is a three point ballgame with 3 minutes left.

Michigan could play VCU in the Legends Classic. 

Ohio's defense looks good.

Izzo making excuses in his second game. This is gonna be a fun year.

Duke may be overrated. 

 

and one other guy riding the bench a great deal of the first half.

Wow. Izzo says exactly what you'd expect. Having to play two walk-ons, bigs not playing very good (sic), etc. Even criticizes his players for not moving the ball well, which is probably more his fault. Plus his mannerisms just seemed ...weird.

Ohio State is looking pretty good. Russell seems like a real deal and will probably be a handful.

How can a kid want to come play for Izzo? All he does is rip his players, both current and former. The next year they're always supposed to be better according to him because of addition by subtraction.

Duke still can't play defense.  This time, it might just be freshmen issues that will clear with a little time.  But, as of now, same Duke team I've seen a billion times before.

looks soft on D and Okafor--as good as he is on offense--doesn't have as much impact rebounding or on D as would have thought.

Okafor should get the ball on the block every singe trip until MSU proves they can stop it.

I'm kind of shocked. I expected the Spartans to get blown out. They've played excellent defense tonight.
