Let’s also NEVER forget the time they met on the field: September 12, 2011. Monday night football, Patriots v Dolphins.

Brady SHREDDED the Dolphins. 517 yards passing, 5 touchdowns. But…Henne also SHREDDED the Patriots: 416 yards passing and 60 YARDS RUSHING.

Pats won, but it was an epic, epic game. That was also 11+ years ago. Henne was 3 years into his career, which in the NFL is “mid career” for most people, and the “will Brady retire soon” conversations had already started at that point.

Since that day, 5 (or is it 6?) super bowl rings between them.

edit: it’s 6 rings

First freshman starter at QB since Rick Leach. 4-0 vs MSU. 47–21 at ND. Multiple game winning TDS to Manningham.

Two decade career in the NFL with two rings.

 Congratulations, Chad.

I inherited my Michigan fandom from my wife (alum) when I moved here in 2007. I still have fond memories of Chad Henne & company taking it to Urban Meyer and Tim Tebow's squad in the bowl game that season. (I apologize for the ensuing implosion of the team in the years that followed.)

Congrats to Chad on a great career!!

It's the comeback in the 2007 MSU game that I'll remember most about Henne: that 7-play, 79-yard TD drive in the 4th quarter. Henne used the sidelines like a pro, threw a TD strike to Greg Matthews to cut their lead to 3, and did it all in only 53 seconds. A thing of beauty.

Congrats, and enjoy your retirement. Go Blue!

The only nitpick I have is that he should've chosen Yuengling to pay proper homage to his Pennsylvania roots.   Otherwise, well done Mr Henne!   Congrats on a long and prosperous NFL career.
