CC: If this is indeed Rich's last game

Submitted by cp4three2 on

I wanted to share this sentiment and this seemed like the place to do it. I was part of the Peanut-Butter-Jelly-Time crowd, but have come to the conclusion that we need to go a different direction, hopefully with Harbaugh. That being said, I would like to thank Rich Rodriguez for his service to the school that I love. The man has coached through all this turmoil and remained classy, genuine, and dignified. He's also brought us one of my favorite Wolverines, Denard. So while I do think that Brandon relieving him of his duties is most likely the best move for Michigan, I want to say thank you and wish Rich Rodriguez success where ever he ends up. Go Blue.

edit: you guys are right, sorry about the poor timing, I was getting ready to go to the bar and it occurred to me that this could very well be his last game and felt like sharing my thoughts on that.  My bad.

Giving us only reasons to retain him, and then telling us that we "need to go in a different direction" - whatever the heck that means - is just the kind of stuff that begins, goes, and ends nowhere.

Let's have a great win today, put the noise behind us, and move in the direction we are currently goind.

+1200 on this one. I love Coach Rod, and I think just about anyone would have foundered on the string of bad luck he's had. I want him to succeed so damn much at the university I love I can't stand it.

I would not bet against Coach with it all on the table. GERG is another matter.

Let's get the game on and unleash Denard - let the chips fall where they may.

This  is gameday and whoever is the coach right now is our guy and the Michigan family has a game to win.  If someone wants to say a goodbye or thanks for the memories, let it come when a decision is announced.

Today Michigan, our Michigan, The Maize and Blue take the field in one hour to prove yet again that we are the champions of the ess-eee-see.

Too soon.  You are going to look like an idiot if RR stays.  And you do know that if RR leaves, your "favorite" wolverine will likely not be a wolverine any more

Would like to take a moment to thank Gary Moeller for his time as coach.  Great job, brah, the early 90s rocked.

What's that? Not relevant today?

the young men that we support with our dollars and cheers are about to play what is, for many of them, their first bowl game. And that's what is on your mind??? REALLY???

I am down voting anything which says anything related to JH/ RR/ CC/DB/ Michigan in any order.

I seriously think we (as a community) are over doing the CC hype.

Dude, you should be focused on supporting the team, not plying more 'CC' crap. 'Michigan Man' might be a little murky, but surely 'GO BLUE' is not; I think there will be plenty of time to bring up that 'CC' crap after the game.

the Diaries and MGoBoard should be shut down permanently as they have simply become forums for Michigan fan infighting. Much stupidity goes on here and almost nothing of any redeeming value is posted. Who needs Buckeyes when there are neg-banging MGoBoard posters and commenters around. The worst--absolute worst--aspect of the Rich Rodriguez era is not the downward spiral on defense, not the abysmal special teams, not the repeated mistakes with penalties and turnovers but that I now must accept that a significant portion of the Michigan fan base consists of irrational troglodytes.
