CC: Cowherd mystery name: Bill Belichick

Submitted by Simps on

Cowherd just tweeted:

Michigan fans, the names I hear are encouraging. I am not teasing you. Although his names rhymes w Till Zellicheck.

If true, I'd think it would be a good hire. It's funny some of the things that people on here don't like about him is the same things they like about Harbaugh.
I'm not gonna hold my breath but I think there is a better chance for him than Harbaugh. Neg away.

HAHAHA Could you imagine Bill Belichek's recruiting speech? Walks into mama's house for a real nice dinner and he's wearing a sweatshirt and his hair indented from his headset talking as mundane as humanly possible.

I don't care for Cowherd (SVP & Russillo blow the Herd outta the water), but you gotta respect his hustle. Cowherd got a nation of Wolverines to mobilize on message boards, listen to his show, and follow him on Twitter. Now let's get back to listening actual Michigan insiders like Sam Webb and ignoring non-story leaks from the national media.

I think that would be a very hard thing to justify to your employer. We all know he's an ass but to potentially alienate half million alums, more fans, etc of a fanbase is stupid just to a joke/troll. It's amateur hour level and I'm not mad because I don't care what he says...ever...but to jab such a large segment of potential listeners is dangerous as a sports commentator. I'd think.

I wish, I could go back a few years to when the blog was less popular. Too many people in threads just spouting whatever they want. Honestly scroll through this thread, it's a joke (pun intended). I thought the Michigan fan base was a bit smarter than this, I guess no matter where you go on the internet, you're going to find "these people".

I'm sure this will happen.  They will probably have to interrupt my three-way with Kate Upton and Karen Gillan to deliver me the good news.

Next he'll tell us Nebraska hired Mike Riley to replace Bo Pellini or some bullshit!  Oh wait.

Seriously though, if this turns out to be what it so far appears to be, Cowherd is a total doosh.
